Rumtiger -> Suggest something exotic (11/15/2007 11:47:55 AM)

Alright, i'm hungry.

I'm in the mood for eating something a little exotic (though maybe not as exotic as some of ya'll know I can get). So, poll your respective heads together and suggest something for me to go eat that should be available in any major city which is nice and rather out of the ordinary....or that would be out of the ordinary for the lot of ya.

A little bit to know about me by the way, i'm a meat eater, so forget about trying to get something vegan in my stomach, if my mistress can barely do it then what shot do you have?

Also I hate anything where meat is sweet, just a no no for me.

other then that, start doing what you can.

I'd kill for some mongolian barbeque but they dont have any standalone places here, just in the buffets...blah.

Calamari ???

Phillipino egg rolls with Adobo???

Any good Indian places handy?

mmm  Mongoliam BBQ - you need to come on down for a visit, we have stand alones that are fair to good and even one buffet that has awesome sushi AND a mongolian grill as part of it that really does it right!  Plus the Hot Sour soup is NOT from a mix!

Calimari is basically as exotic to me as corn flakes.

filipino rolls I dont think I've had, but I hate adobo

as for the buffets...I live in vegas...we have every buffet good to bad known to man here.

Sashimi, blue steak and jar doo chicken wings all come to mind, if you want to stick with meat [something I do more often than not, myself].  They're not particularly rare or exotic, but then again, when was the last time you had any of them? [;)]

Dammit.  Now I'm hungry.

sashimi, about a week ago.

as for blue steak or jar doo chicken...never heard of it, but sounds interesting, please elaborate.

My dad had a friend in Calgary who described blue steak like this:

"Run it once over the grill, wipe its ass, and bring it on."

Essentially, it's meat, typically steak, done extremely rare.

Jar doo chicken wings are available at most Chinese restaurants [at least, up here in Canada].  They're a deep-fried, heavily battered form of giant chicken wing; the batter fills you but you still get a fair bit of meat.  Five or ten is a snack...twenty plugs a hole in the tum...forty would fill most people and then some.
