Yes thanks I have recovered physically, emotionally is another matter! Now I'm traumatized by shiny things that go bzzzzzzzzzzzz hahahaha. I recommend everyone be hairy. Yup. H a i r y.

i have absolutely no shame in "borrowing" wolf's beard trimmer.  everything is nice and neat, with very little trauma.

Tea tree oil instead of soaps, gels or creams. Find it in the ethnic hair care aisle.

kyra,
Where do you go to have it done?

European Wax Center    They have places all around Broward/Dade and they specialize in waxing.  I don't know if they do a brazilian but they have waxed in my bikini area and there is little pain.  I absolutely love it.

i slather the area with a cheap conditioner, shave three times against, and once with the direction of my hair. i follow up by swiping the region with rubbing alcohol ...... as painful as that may seem, i would have to say that the ONE time i attempted waxing, i was on the verge of knocking out the tech who had the misfortune of doing said job!!!! i have heard that it is best to shave upon first entering a shower, or tub, as the heat results in one's skin expanding, preventing a closer shave ........ nevertheless, the opposite is true for me ...... i get a closer shave at the end of a shower.
i suppose it merely boils down to, literally, different strokes for different folks!

I've been thinking about trying this out. Probly get it soon...
http://www.nevershaveagain.com/info.aspx?link=3

Can't be any worse than all those other options. I'm allergic to my own hair down there if I don't keep shaved it really irritates me. Been shaving since about 15ish and still not used to it. Break out after every shave, the itchiness of it all as the hair grows back. Everything about it is a pain. I can't afford laser, even then to trust some random dude around that area with a laser  ..

Never know, this little contraption might work. Don't have much to lose. Waxing has never worked for me. Don't know why but it never gets the hair. It hurts, it's painful, some are sticky as all hell.. but for some reason, they just don't grab onto my hair. even my eye brows don't catch on.

Master shaves my coochie for me. Its something intimate and special we do together. He uses baby oil before shaving and we use a cheap dollar store razor.

As an exotic dancer, I know a thing or two about keeping one's nakie bits smooth and hair-free.

I shave, as it is the smoothest short of waxing and laser.

Rule number one: As many blades as possible.  I use the Gilette Fusion.  Always use a new blade when first starting shaving.  (I can use it twice now that I've been using this method and razor for about five months.)
Rule two, do it after a shower.  Your hais is softest and your pores are open.
Rule three, trim the hair close to the skin.
Next, shave once with the grain.
After that, shave in 'X' strokes, diagonal from both directions, against the grain.
If it is not close enough for you, then go against the grain fully.
Always rinse your blade after each stroke.

Here is the strippers' secret...anti-perspirant.  Yep!  I personally use Dove's Sensitive Skin deodorant.  Wipe it on and it will help prevent razor burn.  I swipe it on twice a day.  The moisturizing part helps alot too.  Plus it doesn't glow under blacklight.  LOL!!

Another product that seems to work for a lot of people is Bikini Zone, but it smells highly medical and does not react well in combination with the deodorant.  Causes it to combine, roll up, and flake off.

The bad thing about waxing is you have to wait until it's a certain length to get it taken off again.

I found the best razor called  hair erazor. It shaves so smooth with no razor bumps and rash like I got every other way I tried. It's a dry shaver. Use powder or silicone lube. I prefer a silicone lube. http://hairremovalshavers.com/hairerazorshaver.html

If you are not up for waxing buy bikini cream. Apply after each time you shave. It helps reduce bumps, ingrowns and makes everything softer and smoother. You can find it in the drug store in the ladies hair removal section.

Master has been very lax in his requirements regarding my hair down there. Personally, I hate shaving it, and going against the direction of the growth is frustrating since it seems to grow every which way. Plus I'm super sensitive, so having soap (even "intimate" soap), shaving cremes, depilatory cremes and other substances down there for more than a minute tends to start burning, so I try to avoid shaving it at all. I'll likely go with waxing as soon as I can get up the guts to do it.

Have you tried creams without perfumes? My girl is very sensitive and can't use most creams because of that reason.
