A pastor's wife in New York has claimed that her husband comingled their personal finances with those of the church to the degree that the church should be considered a marital asset, subject to division of property. The judge in the case has agreed to hear arguments on the motion.

My guess is if she wins, the church property will be sold and the proceeds divided. But i have always thought a desanctified church would make a way cool house.
