These two gas stations in Detroit took market competition a bit too far...

You know how gas stations on the corners of intersections like to fight for the lowest price? Well one of these two stations in Detroit dropped their price by 3 cents. This lead to an argument between owners and a fight broke out. Eventually other workers got involved. One guy got hit with a baseball bat and another guy pulled out a gun, starting shooting, killing one.

I posted this yesterday in the thread about gasoline going to $5. I saw the breaking story on the news and it made me so very sad. Funny.. no one responded after I posted about it. I can only imagine the built up anger and frustration that led to this, led to 4 UMs never seeing their daddy again because he was murdered over lowering the price of gas.

I understand the frustration that can build, people complaining all day about the price of gas. Less customers and more stress. I do understand that. But I don't understand bringing any kind of weapon into it. The gas war has a casualty now, and I'm a bit worried that it will make things worse in that immediate area of Detroit.Sigh. Such a stupid stupid waste, stupid to make a widow because of this. I am saddened and angry, wishing I could do something.
