I pass the Costco gas station on my way home every day, and it is consistently packed.  At least five cars in line for every pump.  The prices are not up on any signs though.  Is it worth the wait?

I don't usually need more than 12-13 gallons to fill up, so if it was, say 10 cents a gallon less, I'd be standing around for 20-30 minutes in order to save $1.20.  Seems like my time is worth more than that.  How much do you actually save?

       Thanks

Your time is worth more than that, especially when you could be spending it here...

But when I'm here, I'm also home.  My shoes are off and I can accomplish all sorts of other things while wandering past the 'puter every so often.  Unless I had calls to make, that time waiting in a gas line is just wasted.

The one in my area isn't that bad. I've rarely waited longer than 5 minutes.
And the price is always .13 cents per gallon cheaper than local stations.

I get gas at costco, but it is not inconvenient for me...  I do not know what you are talking about to be honest. I shop there very often too.

Location, location, location.  And time of day as well.  On my old schedule, I wouldn't see anything like the lines I see when getting off work at 5.  At that time, I didn't have a Costco membership and, since the company was paying for my gas, didn't care all that much about the price.

Does Popeye's 13 cents a gallon savings sound about right?

Oh, I wasn't being contrary. I was just poking a little fun your way.

As far as spending time here goes... geez... look at Popeye's and JO's numbers! ...
