All in good fun.  Loosen up a little MR.  When was the last time you smiled?

A kitten got run over on the way home from work.

That made me smile.

(See how deep my "Not-Niceness" goes [;)])

Aw, good, I knew you had it in ya to turn that frown upside-down =P

Got to enjoy those simple pleasures in life.

Below is a short excerpt from a vanilla site that discusses how men should behave with women
The owner of the site constantly harps on about not being "Too nice" to womenand I would love your opinion on this
So here it is.........................................................

I have a girlfriend who is a perfect 10, but she
has the worst luck with men. Know why? They are
TOO NICE TO HER!!!!!!!! I was sitting out by the
pool with her this past weekend, and listening to
her talk about the latest guy she's dating. He's
cute, attentive, sweet, thoughtful, generous,
funny, and a tiger in bed!! BUT, she told me that
he isn't the "one." I asked her why, and this is
exactly what she said, "He's too agreeable.
Everything I say is OK with him...anything I want
to do, go, or think is OK with him. I'm getting
bored. He doesn't have enough personality for me.
He's always smiling, and my thirteen year old
daughter even says he's a wuss for being so nice
all the time. I want a man who's a challenge."

i can't really blame her, i also like to have a man that treats me good but has opinions and isn't  a "puppy", if i wanted a puppy i would go rescue one from a shelter.

Women, whether they are vanilla or into BDSM have been telling me that I am "too nice" for over 30 years. This has also happened to most of my male friends. Like in war, business etc, nice guys finish last. However, life has improved recently since I've become "less nice"

MsPleasure -> RE: Being "Too nice" (11/22/2007 10:47:49 AM)

I'm guessing this is a young woman.  I passed up sweet and nice for cocky and selfish....in the past.   Give her a few more years she will appreciate that kind of man.

windchymes -> RE: Being "Too nice" (11/22/2007 10:56:20 AM)

That's why I'm glad I wasn't born beautiful.  I couldn't stand all that sucking up just to get in my pants all the time either.

Enjoyment of the misperceptions people have of me as a person are one. [;)]

But dosn't lead?  Won't reassure her that if she makes a mistake he can catch it?  That she isn't sure he can take care of her?  If she knows she's um, HUMAN, and not always right, and he never corrects her.. either he's not very smart or a coward, right?  How bout making some decisions?  Woman appreciate not having to watch shows they hate, but feel guilty is what we want is ALWASYS on..  And that's ust speaking from a vanilla standpoint.  How can the knight in shining armor always be complacient?

RRafe -> RE: Being "Too nice" (11/22/2007 4:29:01 PM)

Harvey Milqetoast is a meterosexual washout.

Women tend to like a man who has a spine.[:D]

LostMyself -> RE: Being "Too nice" (11/22/2007 4:37:24 PM)

obviously the sample here is pretty screwed, but since when don't women (besides femnazis) really want a knight in shining armor.. and that night better be stronger than SHE is!

Qithoras -> RE: Being "Too nice" (11/22/2007 4:42:54 PM)

Pshaw. Give me someone who will provide a challenge any day. Doormats are a novelty.

Any guy willing to lose his nuts (figuratively) to get his dick wet is a wimp-as far as I'm concerned.

And better off alone-than with one who would do that. And the vast majority of women would be better off without such men as well-you really can't trust someone like that.

To the guys in general:

Whenever you ever hear a woman say that.. ASK THEM WHAT THEY THING IS "TOO NICE".  It varies from woman to woman.  Too nice to a woman will most likely not be the same as it is to a male.

But I can guarantee you.. they don't mean "He just doesn't fart and bletch enough.  And he bathes way too often. And he never bitch slaps my mother or kicks my cat enough".  ASK.  Women will just delight that you took interest enough to ask them :)

Take advantage of the woman's need to communicate.  You wont have to even day anything...just it there and listen.  However, you may wish to preface your quire with "In 25 words or less..."

Exactly.   Confidence and arrogance are NOT the same thing.

Whoa, stop the presses!  I have LOTS of tricks.  The **** does that mean, cavemen are one trick ponies?  I mean sure, we pretty much go for a log over the head as the seduction model, but once you've been dragged by your feet back to the cave there's all KINDS of tricky goodness that our hirsute minds can conjure.  Besides, haven't you ever seen Quest For Fire?

I have indeed seen Quest for Fire!  Rae Dawn Chong in body paint, the hot Everett McGill still hot in spite of unfortunate hair extensions.....  I await the details of your trickery, which surely must fit a more Cro-Magnon model.

Or you could be like me, and have just about every single girlfriend leave you because you won't have sex. Some of them are even women in my church! Things go great, then they want to "take it to the next level". Not that i don't wnat to, but I don't believe in sex outside of marriage. So off they go......Leaving a sad, sad man.

sex is indeed something i wish in a relationship.  however, i also believe in honor and honesty, and would be able to understand that a person who doesnt wish to have sex outside of marriage (a) isnt someone i could have a relationship with as i'm polyamorous and already married and (b) i'd respect that person too much to think my wishes should over-ride his.

good for you for sticking to the values you have embraced.

Yep, I saw it.  Won a pass to the premiere in fact...got the souvenir program n everything.  And, as I recall, our buddy Og WAS a one trick pony (doggy style)...til yummy cavebitch Rae Dawn Chong blew his mind (but didn't blow him; her tribe was more advanced, had discovered how to MAKE fire...but I'm pretty sure it was Bettty Rubble who invented oral sex; why else do you think Barney was laughin & smilin all the time?) & had to practically bonk HIM on the bean to do it) by showing him...oooh...MISSionary position.  At which point, Og became the Sensual Caveman...with a grand total of TWO tricks up his furry sleeve.

Hey...that'd be a great book/DVD franchise: The Sensuous Caveman.  Remember The Sensuous Man by "M" and The Sensuous Woman by "J"?

Uh...disregard this post.  Forget you ever saw it.  You are feeling sleeeeepyyyyyy.....

= = =

Reply to the thread in general: there's a difference between nice & soft.  And what woman wants a "soft" guy?

Considerate/chivalrous/etc...sure.  But with a point of view & a will to express it.  I don't think anyone (who's secure in themselves anyway) wants a mere cypher as a "partner".

Remember, the woman in question isn't in the LS.  She's not a sub looking for a Dom, nor Domme looking for a sub.  She's presumably just a vanilla woman looking for a guy with character & spine (or, yeah, maybe the bad boy streak that's so popular).

I'm D-type...and even I don't want a doormat.  A "when I want your opinion I'll give it to you" type.  So why would she?

This is a subject of interest to me, though.  Checked out the thread in the first place because I'm pretty much a "nice" Dom.

Bu I'm workin on it.
