Speaking as one of somewhat "advanced" age, i do believe that are possible disadvantages to that age. Some of it is practical (a Domme certainly would want to be associated with one who is functional {i don't mean exclusively in the sexual context} as well as one for whom possible physical/medical issues could arise during so-called play time.
But perhaps the main issue is simply the preferences of a person. If a person seeks someone older or younger, so be it.
As far as falsifying ones age -- one who does that is setting a bad precedent for any future relationship. Lying in one aspect more often than not leads to lying about other things.
