Mercnbeth -> THANKS! (11/22/2007 7:07:43 AM)

Days off or days on beth 's country girl roots have her up early enough to wake up the roosters. I know longer try to pretend to be asleep when she starts stirring. I smile intend of feigning grumpiness, looking forward to her unique way bringing my cream for my coffee. Today we greeted the dawn together on our balcony watching the first rays of the sun come over the hills around LA. The sparking reflections hitting the ocean replacing the lights being turned off on land.

Our presence here may be predicated upon western Europeans invading another's territory and exploiting an indigenous people. Fortunately I am old enough to have a been taught that Columbus was a hero of Italian decent to be proud and have parades; offsetting his currently growing reputation as an invading exploiter. I can reason through the new history and believe that the reality was something in between, and a function of perspective. Then again, the earth has been around the sun over 500 times since then and the current day resulting society may have its warts, but still provides the best opportunity for opportunity; appreciating my jaded perspective.

I've never been happier, never been more content. Thanks to whatever force; natural, deity, or random occurrence, that brought us to this place today.

I like that too, America(ns) as the hero, rather than politically-correct lashing ourselves as the worldwide villain, over things that happened well before our lifetimes!
Kudos and happiness to you and beth![:)]

Happy Thanksgiving Merc, and Beth, and everyone else.

My ancestors were families struggling to survive against all odds and they obviously overcame every damnable obstacle, and so I am extremely proud of them. I refuse to be ashamed of past explorers, warriors and adventurers because without that kind among us we as a race would never have ventured out of the trees.

I am proud of my country and my heritage, and I am extremely thankful to be alive today with all the blessings that I enjoy every day. It's great to be an American, and it's great to be alive!

Merc, I have a lot of Italian and Sicilian friends up in Boston who think that Columbus; "was a fuckin' hero and don't try to tell me any of that other Cambridge stupid stuff, managia lo diable!"
If the Moonbats in Cambridge and Bezerkly want to feel guilty Ba Fungul!

Your morning sounds wonderful.  Sometimes, reflection is all we have.  Thank you for sharing a little of yours.

Today, I will embrace what I know I have,  who I know I am and in knowing who I belong to.
My relationship with Master may not be ideal, according to some, but it is the thing in my life that helps me see everything else as a possibility and an opportunity to be strong, grow and love thoroughly & completely.  He is the reason I smile so easily and feel so deeply.
For that, I am entirely grateful and blessed..

I look at your pic/avatar and wish my Masters arms were wrapped around me, rather than several thousand miles away.
Yet, I know and feel his heart is wrapped around mine.

Happy Thanksgiving Merc n Beth
   and to anyone else celebrating this holiday..

if you are among those who do not> I still hope you find happiness in your day and a way to count your many blessings...I know I do.
