had the whole family over last night. had turky (big one too, like 25 pounds worth), stuffing, mashed potatos, candied yams, some kind of soup my dad and I tried out, went over pretty well I think. For dessert, we had pecan pie and a little thing we call holiday pudding (secret family recipie, not gonna share it!).

so basically, Im not moving from this chair today unless its absolutely nessecary...

Well since i am alone today partially by choice i decided to make an old favorite. chicken lasagna followed by peanut butter cookies with mini peanut butter cups inside the cookies. totally guilt free and totally worth it.

We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potaoes, baked green beans, candied yams, gravy(that Sir made since i can't make gravy at all!) and deviled eggs and for dessert, pumpkin cheesecake pie with home made whipped cream. i even made the graham cracker pie crust from scratch! Sir's brother was here as well as one of my sons, his girlfriend and a friend of his. Got up at zero dark thirty to start cooking....now Sir says if i don't rest he is going to be very angry since i did all the major cooking myself......He complimented me and said everything turned out really good!

I made chicken and brown rice earlier and am working on making a caramel pie.  I may or may not have company later for pie but the chicken and rice was just for me and my little dog.

Here's the unusual and easy recipe for the caramel pie:

For one hour, boil one can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk unopened, in the can, covered fully by water in the pan.  (It will turn to caramel while being boiled in the can).  Allow it to cool.  Take a graham cracker pie crust and line the bottom and sides with slices of banana, fill with caramel (I like to add chopped nuts, usually walnuts) and top with whipped cream or cool whip.  Unique, rich & yummy!
