Status: offline 		         Alice in Chains was easily my favorite band of that era, and an all time favorite as well.  Layne Staley's side project Mad Season is worth a listen as well (mostly for River of Deceit)

Status: offline 		Ass, AIC is not only my favorite band of the era but one of my top five all time. Just shredded everything else in sight.
I saw them years and years ago in a 5000 seat hall with the screaming ees and got to hang out backstage with them afterwards.
A very good night.
Then seeing them at lollapalooza, layne wearing a suit and those bug glasses in august just killing it.
Awesome stuff, not a bad song ever.

Screaming Trees, one of the most underrated bands, IMO.

Status: offline 		      I saw them in a Portland club, maybe held 200, not long before they hit, and was completely blown away.  Funny thing, I saw Nirvana in the same place and thought they sucked.
