You know, I was in the mall the other day and walked into Electronics Boutique, where they were showing demos of the new Madden '06. I was stunned. I played Madden around 1994 or 1995, and was great at it--because all you had to do on offense was master about three plays, and you'd score at least 90 points every time. I played Madden on PS2 two or three years ago with my nephew, and I still clobbered him with my tactics from 1995, even though the game was a little harder this time around. But the new version looks impossible. The clerk was friendly (I mean, what else does he have to do all day except talk to customers about Madden '06?), and did his best to explain all the innovations to me. I told him, What about people with jobs? I don't think I'd ever have enough time to master that game. Edited to add: Since there seem to be some hardcore gamers on here, I have a question. Did anyone on here ever solve the old Pools of Radiance game? I mean the original one from ca. 1994. I remember being so frustrated with that fucker that I deleted it from hard drive just to teach it a lesson.
