Welcome to the boards, Jesse. I see you have been a member of the site since February. It is nice to see that you have discovered the message boards.
The forums, however, are not considered the best place to search for a Mistress. As one other poster put it, this is more like conversing with friends around a campfire, slow and easy...
Of course, as a member of several months, I am sure you must know that there is live chat, and you can access that by visiting the chatrooms or you can invite a member who is online to chat. Caution: read the profile...everybody is not here for private chat and may prefer the more traditional email (like Me! [;)]).
The forums are broken out into various categories, everything from Introductions (which you did on this forum) to general BDSM to Off Topic where some of us have some pretty heated political discussions.
But none of this is "live", per se.
If you want to find a Mistress into humiliation, this is not the place to do so. At least not by out and out asking! *Smile* The place for your searches is on the other side via the profiles, email and instant chat. You may also make connections and find someone of like mind in the live chatrooms. Many of the folks on the forums are already in or seeking real time relationships, so they are not necessarily open to more than discussion, some advice giving and online friendships which may develop into a bit more. But the forums is not the fastest way to make a connection....result in real time visits, phone calls, etc.
That said, it is a good place to learn, and as you spend more time here, you will become more known, so it is best to think before you post and maintain a good attitude. Over a longer period of time, consistent posters get to know one another and make their judgements based upon the attitudes that come across the screen in text.
So read profiles and send out personable letters that show you have read the profiles, and you just may get a good correspondence going that could lead to much more! You should also get out into your local community and get to some munches and other lifestyle events. Real time is always the preferred way to go, unless you are strictly seeking something online.
