Status: offline 		This will be our first Christmas together, so I'd like to get my Sir something special.  I've been thinking of something along the lines of a vanilla type gift but also one that resembles our D/s relationship.  Any ideas?

Status: offline 		Something to show your journey together would be nice.  Something simple like a photo album or a phot collage I think.

Status: offline 		I have no idea what your Ds relationship resembles.  My partner is Jewish and last year I got him concert tickets, crystal instrument figurines, a leather hat, chocolates and some other things.

It matters more to celebrate together and get eachother something you can enjoy and remember- the kink or vanilla thing really isn't important to me at all.  If he needs a flogger, get him a flogger.  If he needs a toaster, get him a toaster.

Status: offline 		One of the Christmas presents I gave to my Dom one year was a page-a-day calendar that I had made.  I collected 365 quotes related to BDSM or love and printed them out on index cards.  There were lots of quotes from movies, songs, poetry, books, etc.  It took quite a bit of time, but was inexpensive.  Plus, it was something I took the time to do myself, which he definitely appreciated.

Status: offline 		generally, I try to think of gifts that someone would like to have, but wouldn't normally get for themselves. Often they have a whimisical aspect to them, therefore not necessarily a "practical" gift.

What a great idea addison!  Thank you for the idea, it's a bit late in the year to take on such a big project but I may just do a mini version of yours.

I like the whimisical aspect Vanatru and the idea of giving something that the person wouldn't normally get for themselves.  Practical gifts are nice but I'd rather save them for "just because" occasions .

Status: offline 		You're very welcome.   I usually try to post something about the USS Dominant near the holidays.  By the way, for those who are interested......they have items for women, and UM's as well as men and things like coffee cups and teddy bears.

just make sure your Dom wasn't in another branch of the military...kind of bad form to give stuff from one branch to someone that was in another branch...

Status: offline 		it wasn't a joke....it was a Naval ship...if your Dom was in the Army, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Gaurd they would shit a brick, at the very least, at recieving Navy memorabilia for christmas....
