yes, there is indeed a kitty network. Our house is the center of our neighborhood's branch of the network. One little secret: Don't ever let your pets hear you say anything along the lines of "Okay, that's IT! I can't possibly take another animal in. It's someone else's turn!" Your traitorous cats think it's a huge joke to pass along this message to the kitty network, just to see your face when a new stray is sitting on your front porch the next morning. Doubly hilarious if the new cat needs hundreds of dollars in medical treatment. Oh, but sometimes...sometimes you get to pay the little buggers back [:D] Sometimes the new stray is not a cat, but a kitten. Then you get to see the looks on THEIR faces when they're suddenly confronted with a new, tiny bundle of tail-biting energy. Oh noooo they don't like that at all! They know they're not going to get a peaceful, lazy nap for the next 6 months or so without getting attacked by the hyper, flying, super ninjakitty. Mandalin, my new kitten is slightly younger than yours. We got him at about 3 weeks old abandoned in the middle of a busy road. He was only about 7 ounces then. Now he's a little piglet at 1 lb 6 oz and STILL cries for a bottle though he was supposedly weaned a couple of weeks ago *sigh* spoiled little thing. I'm attaching a pic of him from about 3 weeks ago (look how tiny he is next to that dollar bill! lol) and a pic of some other cats commandeering my side of the bed. If you look closely, you can count 3 just in that one pic. Why is it always MY side of the bed? [image]local://upfiles/138234/B07AD017FED84EE2A2328C2AD111B8F3.jpg[/image]
