Other than the two hits across the kidney area, these marks don't ring any safety bells with me. I've dished out the same or worse, and to people as slightly built as that, though I don't generally do girls. And yes, it was always entirely consensual, appreciated and enjoyed on both sides. Keep in mind that some people welt and bruise if you look at them cross eyed and brush them with a light flogger, and other people don't mark very well under paddles and canes. No idea what this person's skin response is, but my guess since she's light compexioned is that she would mark fairly easily.

didn't look too bad to me, i've def had alot worse on my ass, but not up by back. she'll survive and im sure she had fun!

Aftereffect and icing smiles evilly Of course, the whole thing should be consensual. Also, I'm glad that such marks heal that fast(7-10 days).

Yea, I've seen way worse than that. I know a few people who if you made them look like that, they would get pissed off and say "stop trying to hit me, and hit me". Of course their idea of a good whipping results in long deep cuts and they don't respond to the hit until it either breaks the skin or come really close to breaking the skin. As for the marks, it depends so much on the person's skin. I know some people who you could make look like that by simply running your fingernail over their skin.

I look like that after my Sir has paid attention to me. It hurts like hell at the time, but he takes me through the pain into the place where I can feel the strikes, but it doesn't hurt. I love that place. My marks go away within 12 hours or so, but I have good skin and a high pain tolerance. Now, if someone else got those marks, and didn't enjoy the process then, yes , that is abuse. For me, it is love.

Those don't look too bad, except for the few over the kidneys as has been said before. My now-ex did not mark easily... On her, those welts would have been gone in maybe a couple of days. I expect that they might last a little longer on me but I'm fair-skinned and not especially sturdily built. Most useful thing I've learned aside from good communication skills: Practice on an inanimate object first.

Make her take multi-vitamin and take a long hot bath after those whippings it will help the marks to go away.

hot bath or shower can actually increase marking - ice ice ice - soothing ointment is nice for aftercare

I see a lot of comments in here about the pain threshhold of the sub. The pic Master96 posted are of welts created by a bullwhip. A bullwhip varies in legnth from a yard to 10 feet. Many of these kind of welts may NEVER fade. Is it a question of pain torlerance or permenent wounds.

From my view, the photo showed a rather mild whipping session. Its all so relative. As for safety, please...nothing I saw indicated anything unsafe..from the marks made as looks as if nothing HEAVY was used that would have the ability to affect internal organs. What it seems by looking at the marks on her back as though the skin surface took the impact, and nothing was transmitted to deep tissues...it looked extremely superficial. Organ damage certainly CAN occur if the instrument is capable of affecting them. If it WAS a bullwhip as someone posted, then yes, the speed/impact of a bullwhip striking flesh MAY make organ damage a possibility. Her buttucks looked more like she had been sitting on wrinkled sheets than anything else. -meesekite

Just take things easily. Go at your own pace. You don't have to beat the hell out of somone your first go around....unless thats what your going for. Just be careful, avoid the face. Everyone welts, and turns red differently. My slave turns very red easily. I cannot wait to take a flogger across his back. Talk to your sub, find their pain threshold, and little by little take them a little beyond it every time to build them up. Also make sure they're not a bleeder....some leather whips and floggers can cut skin if used properly (or incorrectly in some cases). Just use precaution and have a good time.

bull whips are a hard limit of mine, i got hit with one once and wont' do it again....my mind just can't wrap itself around that kind of pain, it terrifies me.

Master96.... Believe it or not, those welts, in and of themselves, are not that severe and will probably be gone in a day or two. No skin has even been broken and there is no speckling which would indicate any bruising under the skin. What concerns me with that pic, however, is that the marks are across the spine. If they were made with a cane, or other hard object, it is very unsafe. However, due to the dual nature of each mark (like a snakes tongue), I'm more inclined to think they were made with a "quirt" which a soft flexible type of short whip and would not do damage to the spine. If this is the case, this woman suffered, at the most, sensations of intense stinging. And, of course, as someone else mentioned, the intensities of play are different for each couple and should be discussed, agreed upon, communicated about, and worked up to. You are right...It might be the most abusive thing I have ever seen!!! How is someone expected to deal with mental anguish and pain of welts that will be gone in a day or two?...I've seen worse hickeys. i agree, the marks in that pic look pretty fresh to me any were probably gone in about three days. ive wound up with worse just playing with my kidlettes [:@]

I am adding my vote for "its not that bad" lol. It looks like she just finished up, alot of the redness will fade over the next 12 hrs. then 1-2 weeks for any bruising to fade. I have definately seen worse dished out, and the slave was just fine to play with me for the rest of the evening. I suppose its a matter of personal preference, some people can tolerate more pain than others. Also, any sort of crop tends to leave a good welp that looks worse than it felt imho.
