Dear ready4srvce4all, Ladies and Gentlemen; I am of the opinion, that the reasons behind McDonalds and other fast food providers, locking up their garbage bins is due to the liability issues and insurance's demands as to fit under their terms of liability. With an increasing homeless population, many a homeless person have crawled into dumpsters and fall asleep and do not get out when the garbage is picked up by trash trucks that have grinders to mash and chew things up, making more space for refuge/garbage/rubbish. Humans are chewed up, mashed and crushed. Nobody really notices as they are nameless faces to us however, for those who do notice and family who know where their 'kin' live in homeless conditions--especially during bad weather--they're the ones who sue McDonalds, etc. We have had several cases through the years in Washington, DC. In addition, there are people who are looking to get money out of companies like McDonalds. Having no common sense, these customers get hurt--who pays? McDonalds, etc., in turn we have to pay with higher prices because a few think companies are an ATM machine for instant money--same for other companies. Some purposefully do things as to cash in --in a law suit. We have had many a fake accident and file claims incidents in the local news in the past, as to 'sue' and get money. Just some thoughts. Respectfully submitted for consideration, Lady Hugs
