Any of the above.

We all begin anew with any new relationship.

The only unsuitable are those who insist on living in the past.

I wouldn't care if a slave had  2 or more Master's or none, what I care about is the connection and chemistry that we have.  Now saying that, when a slave likes to throw out names of people she's played with thinking it "ups her resume" that wouldn't sit well with me..

To me power exchange is about the connection first, teaching/training is secondary (but still important to me)

Any of the above.

Like DarkDaddyZ said, though, it's a pain if they keep bringing up previous doms/masters/etcetera and saying "Well, X did things this way." It's not a job interview- I don't really need an in-depth resume.

While a well trained slave can be nice, and I like them lots
Its sometimes easier to teach someone new than to help someone unlearn.
Its never a criticism of their previous dominant, just sometimes we all like things done a bit differently.
Those pesky fine tuning details

I agree.  Sometimes it's very hard to have someone distinguish whether why they do or desire things is their personal preference or former owner/dom(me)'s.

I would prefer the experienced one - but it wouldn't really matter - there would be others things to consider long before that.

Honestly, it depends on the person. I've had experience with all three...some were good and some weren't, for me.

My slave/wife had zero experience before me. It didn't make any difference to me. I fell in love with the woman, not her experience.

I'll add my voice to the majority,  experience has absolutely no bearing on whether I'm attracted to someone.

I've been in relationships with both experienced and inexperienced submissives and each had their individual qualitites where that experience level was concerned.

But to answer your title question, I *prefer* the "natural novice" because they aren't presumptuous about what might please me and had the patience to wait to be taught/shown first.  And there's something utterly alluring about their uncertainty and fear of failure (which doesn't actually exist) and even clumsiness during training that's usually absent with an experienced sub who's only "new" to me.

Focus.

I think I prefer newbies. At the beginning of course I needed experience subs for my own education, but now I think I prefer a girl who isn't too experienced.

If I beat a woman with my rattan cane and she requests a bullwhip or a fiberglass cane instead - I'm a little put off.  If my arm gets so tired from caning her that I need to stop - I'm a bit embarassed.

I have met subbies who seemed to think I wasn't dominant enough. They would compare me with a former Master who they would typically proudly describe as what I would call a lunatic or a criminal. These women would seem to admire people like Jeffrey Dahmer.

Also the odds of disease are much higher with very experienced subbies. A couple close calls has left me wary.

On the other hand I have at few times initiated a vanilla woman into D/s. This is very nice. Part of the Dom experience is the mentor, teacher role.

None of those things matter to me.

What does matter is enthusiasm, humor, intelligence, communication, and compatibility.

Any of the above really. Untrained has benefits, so does experience. The positives and negatives balance each other in my view. I don't particularly care if someone even brings up old ways of doing things either. Depends on the way it is brought up for me on that note. After all, sometimes that can provide some valuable insight as to quirks in the person themselves, and other times it might be a new way of doing something that I haven't thought of, and may enjoy. Now if it's brought up in a snotty way of "Well they did this, and this is obviously superior to your method" sort of way, yep that would piss me off. As I'd imagine it would most people. Comes down to tact really.

As for disease risk, staying safe is a high priority for me. I personally go for checks at regular intervals. I require my partners to do the same. One of the things I've always considered myself non-negotiable on. I've never had people take issue with that. Then again I tend not to play casually at all though.

Can't disagree with any of those. They all matter, and a great deal more than any experience or lack thereof.
