I spend too much time here. I can't stop reading the threads. It is so interesting. It is so educational. I keep telling myself I am learning stuff so it is not really a waste of time but I spend so much time here. I read and read.

I think I am addicted to this forum. Anyone else feel the same?

No. I spend more time here simply because I can't spend it outside right now; hopefully that will change soon.

I'm a message board junkie so if I wasn't here I'd be on some other Board spouting my opinions. But I don't think it's too much. You should have seen me when I used to hang out on the Court TV boards. Now THAT was too much.

Nope, though I'm sure it looks like I'm here a lot if anyone bothered to try and keep track... I'm almost always logged on because I leave my browser open to several sites almost all the time and stop in randomly through out the day as I'm doing other things (much of my work is on the computer and online right now, too).

So I post and check mail frequently but only actually spend (except during some recent conversations at night) about 2-5 minutes at a time here... call it, normally, around 30-40 minutes a day while checking my mail on other sites at the same time (because I switch tabs while pages are loading and skip between them so no time is lost waiting for a particular page).  Add to that a typing speed averaging about 75wpm and I'm zippy on here.

As to addicted, no, too.  Honestly, I find the opposite of you, OP.  From time to time there are interesting, fun or educational threads but for the most part it's repetitive and rather teenforumesque here.

That is pretty much me. If I am not on this board I am certainly on another board with a different topic. I work nights, there are only so many things you can do or I can do and still be physically and mentally ready before going into work.

I have quit message boards cold turkey before with no negative side effects or gaining some perspective that I was wasting my time on them. I find them to be a good place to engage my mind on topics of interest that quite frankly day to day talk with friends and co-workers often lacks.

Nope.  Like others I have about 8-10 pages I leave up all the time.  I'm a housewife.  In between the other things that go on in life, I check email and visit web pages.  I probably skip about 75% of the threads in General discussion, pay attention to most of the ones in poly, and have never actually read any of the other forums on here.

Plus its a fun thing to read when I'm bored out of my wits waiting for crappy navy email servers to finally work so I can talk to ze hubby!

I spend a large amount of time here however it is not too much I tend to leave my browser up even when I am not around. I know it is not too much time because nothing in my life is suffering I get to work, I keep my home, I maintain any appointments I have etc. I may be slightly addicted but I think I could easily walk away. I find the boards a nice place to engage in sometimes intelligent conversations and make friends........ Maybe we will begin a 12 step program for others......

The first step to beating an addiction is admitting you have a problem......

Years ago i used to read every thread, there weren't as many then.  Hubby got upset about me spending that much time here and made me quit the site for 6 months.  Since i've come back i pick and choose what i read and respond to and i seldom spend time giving out old links anymore.

There are court TV forums...I bet that's a hoot.
