If you mean me, yes we did tonight. It has been insane as he has been teaching at this new school for 3 weeks and every weekend since something knocked out talking such as no power, no connection etc. Eeeeesh! Tough, it's really tough so we both know how it is for you.

Thanks!

EG

*hugs dark*

i havent seen Daddy since september, and scheduling around here has been so bad i dont know when i'll be able to see him again.

top that off with the husband coming in with "what would you think about relocating to kentucky?"

and we're in florida, with Daddy about an hour and a half from me.  so.  yeah.  i think about the whole mess and cry...and there isnt much i can do about it.  if we move, we move and that's it.

i'm glad you're doing well with the temporary separation, and i hope everyone gets to be with the ones they care about, soon.

Perspective.......I have been straining my brain on how to say this without it coming off as snotty...for this is not my intent..but the written word can be misunderstood..so..anyway...back to perspective...my thought when I read your post was as follows...Be ever so joyful that you have someone to miss...do not focus on the seperation...focus instead on your sense of belonging.......would a snicker bar help??..:0)...Tempting

Hugs for you kitten and your news - that just about sucks for you!  I know I was over reacting with my situation hey - but it sometimes just feels good to vent.  I am thinking about you and here whenever you need hey - keep us updated and big love your way.

Tempting - snickers rock!  Better than a mars bar anyday.
No you don't come across as snotty (not to me hey) - it's good to be reminded from all sides.  I am blessed and know it - and I also think it's good sometimes to say 'hey we have bad times too' because sometimes it can come across that when your in a ltr that everything is 'perfect' and it's good sometimes to admit, no - mostly it's great but there still crap you have to work at.

It took me a while to get where I am when hes away(blegh although I still fall back occasionally), but as you said - and I think it rocks you did and it's a great reminder - focus on the sense of belonging.  And so I do.
(But its good to vent and whine once in a while to get it out the system ).

Peace

ohhh gosh .dark
by the time I got around to your post it is sunday and your post is days old...but I wanted you to know that > you putting your feelings out there and sharing your thoughts of missing him and challenges of separations that happen for you two, really do help me alot.  I cried reading the two of you post to one another from afar, because I can relate.  and because it was just so damned sweet and touching : )

The separation sucks..and I wish I had words of wisdom but do not. Temptings idea of the snicker bar is looking....well tempting LOL   do they make a sugarfree snickers?  Lol UHGG  whats the point right?????
but I digress into thoughts of chocolate..

I am awful about ( not ) reaching out for help, when I am feeling down or emoting all over the place... it's something I try to work on daily.  So your ability to share the good stuff with the not so good stuff  is inspiring...

and to the others who do the same...: )    thanks

Temptings words are true..and wise.   I guess the key is to focus on what we do have rather than get stuck in what might not be there right now.
Tyson reminds me of this often...

Why does it seem like the D types in the relationships seem to hang onto the positives and time spent, so much better than the S types.?  I know that sounds like a sweeping statement   not intended to be.....maybe not even the majority feel that way.
but it would be an interesting question to pose and see the responses to.
....maybe its just me...groan.

the holidays might get dicey this year for me...
already feeling the distance much more than the last 11 months.

offering a supportive hug  and a smile of understanding.

Cyndi

Hello Cyndi -
Just try and remember that crying is kind of carthartic at times and hugs completely rock so backatcha...

On your thought about dominants being hanging onto the positive better than s-types rings true for me - so no groans because your not alone - although Darcy is patient enough to teach me how to do it.  I pretty much suck at it, but Im improving with his guidence so that is groovy.

It works the other way, like today I get to go see my Daddy, because whenever I get more than 3 days off in a row he wants me there... so it seems like I am spending a lot of time with him lately... More and more all the time

I cannot wait to just touch him.

Love it!  Hope you have a kick ass time julia.  I'm just hanging on to hear he has landed safe so that will rock - and then I get next (long) weekend with him.

I can't wait to wake up next to him.  I love watching him sleep - it rocks - and what I look forward to is making morning coffee.  Not sure why that leaves such a warm glow but it does - I'm not going to over analyse it - just enjoy it.

From the perspective of someone that has had quite a few of these long long separations...it makes it easier if I hug my pillow and think of him and when I will next see him.
