I just wanted to post a posotive post. Its been just over a year since ive been with my boy and this last week we have been looking back at how far we have come both in bdsm and as a couple. Im so suprised at how much our realtionship as mistress and boy has developed and even though there have been some hairy moments its been pretty much easy going. I got some really good advice and information from several board members about good communication and other things and its been something Ive often thought about almost daily and thanked them in my head lol. My toy collection has tripled [:)] The lastest addition being a door restrainst kits which I dont know how we ever managed without !! My confidence has grown and grown, my social circle within the lifestyle has steadily grown, and for the first time in years I feel happy secure and very very loved[:)] My boy also gave my my xmas present this week (its a bit early) and I got the newest edition to our family !! A 10 week old sharp pei called Morgan he is soo adorable. Ive been wanting one for a long time so he gets big brownie points for that. Im looking forward to haveing two puppies to train now [:D] I just wanted to share how happy I was as I cant really sing it to my vanilla friends they just wouldn't get it.[:)]

Congrats! It is so nice to hear something positive with so much negativity on the forum sometimes. I wish others would post their happy stories, hell I will add mine. My boy and I will be together 3 years come January and we are going strong. And congrats on the new furry puppy! I just adore animals err the 4 legged type, the 2 legged types are good too. Congrats to You and shawn ... also to Lashra and Her boy. And another happy one ... Master and i are celebrating the 4th anniversary of my first service to Him this week, and 3 years since W/we bought matching rings (W/we did that after 6 months of living together 24/7 as a sign that O/our relationship was working well and moving to another level of depth). i've been collared to Him for 18 months now and W/we are still so very happy. Very cool! *I would love to hear some of that invaluable advice* that you think of and use daily. It sure would be timely for me, cause I am very hopeful that I will soon have a steady boy. We've been navigating the getting to know each other phase and building of trust for about 3 months. We had one false realtime start in which he panicked and canceled last minute, that was over 2 months ago...turns out our vanilla professional lives cross over quite a bit and understandably that realization caused him panic. So after our 2 steps back and reapproach of building trust and connection we are moving into realtime again and all is exciting and smooth. The wait and patience has been worthwhile. Now to keep it going....;-) So yah - this may not be comparable to the lengthy relationships yall have created but its a big deal for me so I am pleased and yet a little nervous. Odd thing though is that for the longest time of not meeting any boys that inspired me (a year almost!), now as I pull myself off the market...or as I become more preoccupied with one fella, so many good and interesting boys are appearing at my door and court so sweetly and intelligently. Ahhh life. I supose that California saying of "the universe provides what we desire only when we are ready to receive it" is proving true for me. [sm=mrpuffy.gif]

Congrats on one year! Each year will provide it's own challenges and life, of course, will constantly attempt to exercise control over both of you. Having established a good, solid foundation is a huge assist to everything you will enjoy and conquer in the next several years.

Thank you everyone At 1st I wasnt going to post but as Lashra said its all so negative usually and I just wanted to tell the world how happy I am Its great to hear that others are too Adams been such a posotive impact on my life its been an amazing journey so far. The advice I was given that sticks in my mind came from L.A and a few other board members about communication. All my previous relationships didnt work out becasue we werent honest with ourself, accepted less and didnt talk about things. In my relationship now we discuss everything. I can talk openly and honestly about absolutely anything from periods to polotics with adam and when it comes down to bdsm we discuss absluetly everything. We never go to bed on an argument and In the year we have been together there has never been shouting or arguing like ive had in other relationships. Its bloody hard work at times but I wouldnt trade it for anything in the world. Another peice of advice was get to know each other as friends first before rushing in and collaring somoene etc. Adam chased me for about 8 months before we even entered a relationship. We met several times as he lived 5 hours awy and spoke a lot but never anything very bdsmy and then when we became a couple e started dead dead slow with everything. They were the best bits of advice I was given and I'd say its gone a long way to help us. That and dont automatically think he willl know what I want lol realising that was a major thing. Any way im making my self quezy now with all this gushing lol. Best wishes to everyone else And thank you my puppy is so gergeous I wish I could upload a pic of him
