The reason we take it so hard when things don't go rite is because we put to much of ourselves into every possibility.
Hopes, and dreams;  fear, and issues.

And as the days pass on its as if we face ourselves as if in a mirror left to shudder.
And those we face in real life although not as bad wear our face some how.

To a Dom its the dream of sincerity, and happy times regardless of how sinister, Only to grow darker as people pass by as if grains of sand in the wind.

For the Sub its a need for something that wont fall apart, and their left dwelling on things until they start throwing away the keepers for the little things.

Left their as if studying diamonds never to choose one over the other when a flaw or scratch shows itself, and in the end as the pile grows behind them their still straining their eyes looking for something that will never show.
Perfection...

In the end if only we stopped looking in wards, as the endless revolutions of it all make us dissy.
To what we could find was peace or mind, and for what we fear we ourselves become.

I grow with this.
Do you?...

This sounds like a poem written by a Dom in the late acceptance stage of breaking up with a favored sub.  Rather calm and somewhat romantic in imagery.

For the question at the end, though, no; it doesn't work for me.  There's a touch of gothic darkness in it, that notion that the human spirit is innately dark and sinister at its veiled core.  It gives it this pragmatic calmness, which can be pleasant.  Still, it's a neat poem.
