Teles -> A few questions (11/29/2007 7:35:57 PM)

Just curious to know other people's opinions.

Does anyone know of a good place to find essays relating to bdsm? About anything, really. Punishment, psychology involved, anything.

Does anyone know of any other good message boards or communities where people talk about BDSM?

Why is it that though daddy doms/little girl subs are found pretty frequently in BDSM, there isn't a lot of erotica relating to that dynamic?

I've run into a lot of doms that don't like intelligent subs. Not wayward subs, or argumenative subs, but good subs who just... are smarter. Is it the norm for slaves to be considered better slaves when they don't have voices?

If anyone wants to talk person to person, I'm also leosunflowers on AIM. =)

CuriousLord -> RE: A few questions (11/29/2007 7:40:08 PM)

smart subs r stupid becuse their not real subs.  they make u feel stupid insteid of being hornny for u

PS-  Also, for the erotica part.. if I had to guess why there might be less, it may be because D/d relationships seem to be more romantic/family mixed dynamics than just straight out sexual relationships like many BDSM-based dynamics.  (Of course, I'm not saying implying everyone's just here for sex.. or am I?)

That, plus I imagine that D/d erotica could be illegal or especially damaging to one's social life if found.  Not everyone here accepts it as anything but closet pedophilia, so it's a pretty safe bet that the vanilla world wouldn't have that many great things to say about it.

I'd like to note that this is working off the assumption that there isn't as much, though it may just be the places you're looking for it at have relatively little.  (And, as a male, I'm more into lesbian humping vidoes curtiousy of Google than erotica, so I can't help you out too much on agreeing or disagreeing with the opinion.)

Can't help on either the essays bit.  For other boards, you mentioned D/d.. I think "TakenInHand.com" is a more 50's style website (not BDSM so much as loving D/s//M/s) which I think might lean a bit more in that direction, though you'd have to check on that.

I guess no one has anywhere to point me. Hehe.

I edit my post to say, oh, nevermind, because I see that one has been edited above.

CuriousLord -> RE: A few questions (11/29/2007 7:51:56 PM)

Yes, yes, make with the flattery, then reveal you're actually BloodNinja!  (Heh.. lvl 100000Chicken of the Infinite..)

Ah wells.  It's time to get some sleep.. damn Chem test bright and early tommorow afternoon.  Not to mention all the studying for it I'll be starting before dawn which I should've started weeks ago.

Teles -> RE: A few questions (11/29/2007 7:53:27 PM)

As far as my own preferences go... I'm not into ageplay anymore than any other particular thing. As far as reading erotica, which is one of my only outlets right now, I do like to mix it up a little bit, I guess. Thanks for the reply. The only place I've really known about with essays and things is 'Sensual Service'. Someone said there were good essays on Literotica but for the love of life I can't find them.

(I put on my wizard hat and robes)

I believe that's the same response some of my peers would give me if I showed them the sorts of things I type here regularly.

Heh.  I'm an undergrad.  :D

Hi Leonine,

The forums on Bondage.com are very informative. Also, there is a site that I happen to like for reading, basic info, etc...www.castlerealm.com. There's SO much on the internet...too much to write here:) I have read a lot of books about BDSM in general and D/s relationships. If you do a search engine for those topics on Amazon, you'll find a bunch. Good luck.

Teles -> RE: A few questions (11/29/2007 7:57:39 PM)

I always secretly worry that one of my roomies will find something bdsm-related that I've written. We all have the tendency to straighten up for each other and god forbid something dirty falls out of my notebook. Hehe.

Teles -> RE: A few questions (11/29/2007 7:58:40 PM)

Thanks sbmssvdreams. :) I really want some books, myself, but they're all kind of pricey! I asked my boyfriend to get me some of them for Christmas. Hardly something you can ask a family member for, unfortunately.

CutieMouse -> RE: A few questions (11/29/2007 8:18:17 PM)

www.fetchbook.info will sort titles across the main online book sites for you by lowest price; even with shipping I don't think I've ever had to spend more than $15 for a BDSM book.

Lit's erotica search engine can be persnickity... taboo + daddy + BDSM might help you find some; you can also sometimes find D/g stories under humiliation.

Lit also has a pretty good BDSM board, with a library of archived thread topics (many of which have links to sites for further reading)... there's also been an influx of D/g style relationship posters there over the last few months [if that's what you're looking for].

As for Dominants/Masters who appreciate intelligent submissives/slaves - they're out there.  [;)]

TONS of information at http://www.enslavement.org.uk/

Personally, I abhor castlerealm.com.  Obviously, different strokes for different folks.

edited to add: i hang out at the slave register boards sometimes

Also, Literotica and sexstoriespost both have some good stories that are age play ish (not necessarily the Daddy Dom thing but i enjoy them.

I have not had much trouble with men that did not appreciate my intellectual capacity, mainly because I was sizing theirs up from the very start and it was much more likely that I was the one that was going to back off before they did because of my intellect.

Now, there were many that assumed I lacked brains because I am a submissive, but I do not think I was ever rejected because I am intelligent... the ones I was interested in appreciated my brains... and my Daddy is extremely attracted to me because I am smart.

MyPoison -> RE: A few questions (11/29/2007 9:33:57 PM)

Okay, I was starting to feel bad. I was like does that mean I have to act dumb now?

xP I wont. I know there will be people out there.

And I have found the same problem, people messaging me thinking I'm retarded.

grlneedstolearn -> RE: A few questions (11/29/2007 9:57:31 PM)

i only know of one site that has essays, poems, etc that's free and you can read. It's called www.literotica.com
