  • Chattanooga police arrest a man who they say shackled, shaved and starved his ex-girlfriend over a three-day time period in October and November.

Terry Pruett Junior, 28, is charged with aggravated kidnapping.

Police say Pruett's ex-girlfriend, Mary Jackson, told them she was held hostage at a home on 17th Avenue, before being let free.

Jackson and her father called police and told them she had been hancuffed, bound at the wrists, and forced to pop pills and inhale marijuana smoke.

Police also say Jackson told them her head was shaved by Pruett. Police say Jackson was not given food or water for three days. Officers investigated and found handcuffs and rope at the house, and issued warrants for Pruett's arrest. Nearly a month later, he was arrested.

But today, Jackson changed her story.

Jackson admits she was bound and tied, but is embarrassed to admit she did so willingly.

"We have kinky sex sometimes," Jackson says as her face turns red. "We are kinda freaky. Sometimes we like to spice things up."

Jackson says she told a magistrate judge the story, but Pruett's charges remain the same. She says she knows she could be charged with filing a false police report. Jackson and Pruett are still together.

Jackson says they plan to seek counseling.

It's lying bitches like this that cause real victims to be doubted.  Idiots "cry wolf" so much that when someone truly is victimized, people always wonder if their story is believable.  I say charge her dumb ass and let her pay the consequences.  Maybe next time she'll think about it before she files a false police report against someone.........luci

I'm wondering if Daddy didn't have something to do with it, as I can imagine arriving home from a long weekend with rope burns, dilated pupils, a shaved head and maybe a few bruises wasn't taken very well - article doesn't say how old Ms. Jackson was. Not that I think she did a good thing, and definitely should have the consequences of a false police report if that is what she is saying now, but maybe this should also be a reason to really think about how you're going to appear when you go home to your parents or to work or whatever after some "kind freaky" sex.

Having lived near and been in Chattanooga many times, it's easy to see how these things can happen.  Chattanooga is still very backwoods in mentality and consensual or not, he will pay for what they both did.  What pissed her off so badly that she felt compelled to do it?  Or maybe she wasn't pissed off and still lives at home with her parents and couldn't think of anything else to tell them.  It's sad, very sad to see situation like this occur.  I won't be surprised if he also gets charged with domestic violence or domestic dispute (depending on where you live).

The problem is that (in many jusisdictions), that once you are bound ... even willingly, the law says you no longer have the ability to consent.  In this situation, age has nothing to do with it.
It's the same mentality that a young person "under the age of consent" cannot consent to a sex experience even if they started it.

I'm with slave luci - to make a police report about anything should not be done lightly.  So she came home with a shaved head, and various marks.  (For some that's a normal school day!) and a parent was there, asking questions if she's old enough to do this stuff, she's old enough to take ownership of her consentual actions/submissions.
She's not a bitch - she's a silly unthinking, selfish brat!

Age does play a role.  You can't expect an 18 year old to have the same mentality and thought process as someone who is 27 or 30.  Neither of them are probably old enough to consider and weigh the outcome of their actions like (most) responsible adults do.  I'm still young and in 10 years from now I'm sure I'll be much wiser than I am now.  The difference is that I with age comes wisdom and the ability to think about the outcome of the situations that I might want to get involved in.

Maybe that's just me...

Like you said, "she's a silly unthinking, selfish brat!"  ...and I couldn't agree more.

i agree. i still live at home with my mum and dad, and my dad would go ape if he knew wot me and Master done. if my dad saw some of my marks and bruises sometimes after Master woz done with me..... i just think you have to be sensible, and remember just coz we know D/s is right for U/us, don't mean to say our families would agree. even tho i'm 21, i'm still my daddys little girl, and prolly still will be when i'm 41 to.

Assuming she was lying. How often do the victims of abusers return to them? Protect them from their actions.

And if she's underage and still living at home, or was at the beginning of the relationship, him at 28 having a sexual relationship with a minor is a definite no-no. You have to assume if she was his age she would have moved in with him.

A really strange story.

Why would she go to the police in the first place?

No. You don't.

In fact, you shouldn't assume things that have a high probability of being untrue.

If you are old enough to be a witness to send somebody to jail for decades you are certainly old enough to be held responsible for your behavior in trying to do so.

I say prosecute the woman for filing false charges. Those who want to pity or coddle her are misguided. Her lies have irreperably done him damage...he was arrested, and may need to spend lots of money on legal counsel. As for Celeste's contention that abused women protect the abusers, its irrelevant. And it assumes women cant manage for themselves....and the law must care for women as we are no more than errant children who need to be guided and protected. She changed her story.,...for whatever reason. Let the guy go, and charge her with filing a false report. Let women take responsibility for their own acts...and the consequences of their lies.
