every Saturday night the nieghbor has a screaching knock down drag out fight. They dont bother my stuff- so up till now I have taken no action. BUT the domestic fights are getting worse -and in the street with revving tires and scretching loud enuff to hear it in Cleveland. ?? any hints? do i say anything? if so to whom? drinkig is involved.

heya PA.. I have neighbors like that We did try talking to them.. but they are people who you really can't reason with.. so up until now.. I call the cops

Think you're best bet is to call your local police and let them deal with the problem. Afterall, it's your tax money which pays their salary!

We had neighbours that were really drunk, fighting and yelling in the street. We rang the police to say there was really loud domestic violence in the street and when the patrol car rolled down the street (no sirens), they both ran into the house, slammed the door and shut up. They never worked out it was us that called. Start with the authorities. Ring the cops so they can assess the situation and ask the woman if she wants the man forcibly removed from the home. Over here, they always seem to take the guy away to sober up, even if the house is solely in his name and both are off their heads.

Ditto on the cops. If this is a repeat thing, they will get back together & both hate you. No need to be a hero - unless you plan on wearing speedos & a cape! [;)]

any domestic should be dealt with by the police... people who are that stupid to get in one in the first place sure as hell arent interested in you getting into thier business. Domestics are sticky business... and police have very few rights to do shit about it unless there are marks and one of the parties wants to file charges. Keep on calling them out untill it ends. The more "on record" it is the better. Gwyn, Who hated rolling up to a domestic.

Interesting comments. They rent. Well she does. She doesnt live with him cos their place is too small. She told me she goes to AA. She told my worker she slipped. Meanwhile- her old house had burned- I dont know why or how- she now lives 1 foot away...the houses would touch. I heard thru the grapevine- that her sponsor told my best friend some stuff- he did not elaborate- and I did not dealv into it. "it is going to get much worse" he said. meanwhile- I am making sure my insurance is paid. I did mention to one neighbor whom I talk to alot about it... I feel sorry for her 3 kids. hey are so young to see how horrible adults can be.
