95% of those I know on the internet today have a webcam. 
So, when a "female" messages me wanting to chat, I ask for webcam verification that they are female.........shuts 'em up real quick.
By the way, I'm really enjoying the webcam naughties with two of the REAL females I've met on this site. 
It's nice to be able to SEE who the fuck  you are talking to.

95% of the people I know DON'T have a webcam, myself included. A friend of mine told me she requests an odd picture within a few days. Maybe of them with a jug of OJ on their head or something like that nature.

I hate to have to ask but where exactly did you get your statistics?

I am a bit more involved with computers than the average person. 

I don't have a webcam.  I have no reason and never had a reason to have
one.  Not even when I was looking for a dom.

I only got a webcam last month only after sir insisted but this was after 4 months of talking to one another online and even then only use when online with him and do not even use with family  and would refuse to use/display with someone I do not know.  So I guess that would make me one of the fakes you speak of  [;)]  refusing instead to being part of being  of your circus act

Ditto. I am looking for a Dom and if asked for a webcam, I say, I have 3 photos up, if that is not enough for verification, run along now.

I tell them to get tested for STDs.  Good dogs understand the importance of this, and are quick to obey.  Bad sluts make excuses and never go.  Good dogs, once a copy of their results are in their soft mouths, are quickly rewarded in person.  Bad dogs are sent irrevocably back to the pound. 
And the reason a copy is required?  One would-be pup assured Me he had gone for his testing.  he arrived for his reward and during his first Inspection I found a venereal wart.  he had indeed gone for his testing, just never went back for his results.  he was punished and dismissed.

I too think the OP has overestimated the number of web-cams out there unless she only chats with teens (they DO seem to all have them) but that aside some form of verification is never a bad idea. I prefer to ask for a photo of the subject in question holding a sign with some codeword(s) or a current newspaper local to their listed home location. Since there are now so many alternatives to get a photo digitized anyone who claims to not have a camera or a scanner or access to Wal-Mart instantly sets off alarms.

There's lots of ways to figure out a fake pretty quickly. The fact that many are duped for so long is part fitness test and part hard lesson.

I see your point, but not everyone has a webcam- and some might fear that the images would be distributed or missused.

Well I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and only ask to see a persons webcam if they bring it that they have one, otherwise i wait a couple months before asking if they would like to chat on the phone sometime instead of at the computer, especially now that I have a new job and can't always have access to a computer.
