hardbodysub -> Technical issue (8/14/2005 8:15:48 AM)

Being new to this forum, I was not aware that the "Reply" button at the TOP of the posts should be used instead of the button at the bottom (which seems more logical, and is what I am used to on other message boards). Sorry for any confusion from this, but some of my replies have been linked to the wrong original post because of this error I have been making. The program also won't let me delete them and do them over.

Do not worry about your past posts. Many regular posters still use the bottom button when they should have used the top one. But you are to be congratulated for your attention to detail. [:)]

i use the bottom button, and i always wonderd what the top one was there for.

I too commend you for hopefully bringing this to other peoples attention because sometimes I wonder...Why are they replying to me?

Raphael -> RE: Technical issue (8/15/2005 1:30:08 AM)

This board is the worst, far too many ways to make replies that purport to be to someone you weren't actually replying to.

It's great to pay more attention to it, everyone should. At the same time, a little interface clean-up would be a good idea too. It's my impression that well over half the posts here are mislabeled that way.

junecleaver -> RE: Technical issue (8/15/2005 2:01:19 PM)

Wow. I didn't know that. Thanks for pointing it out.

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: Technical issue (8/16/2005 4:32:10 AM)

A lot of people use the fast reply button. It's easier, and frankly makes more sense. What they have to say won't change. But in the interest of clarity, good point.

CalliopePurple -> RE: Technical issue (8/16/2005 2:45:59 PM)

I don't think many people care too much who the reply is addressed to at the bottom, because most specifiy it in their posts anyway.

subcheryl -> RE: Technical issue (8/16/2005 4:10:58 PM)

I knew the reply button at the top of the post would replay to the person you wanted to respond to, but when using the one at the bottom of the page for just a general response or input to no one in particular it still comes up, "in reply to....." bet this one reads in response to CalliopePurple. LOL

PS. I used the bottom postreply button cause wasn't replying to anyone in specific so how do you do it so it doesn't read in response to......

CalliopePurple -> RE: Technical issue (8/16/2005 7:05:47 PM)

It'll always be there. I just don't think a lot of people pay too much attention to it in my experience here so far.

bulletproof -> RE: Technical issue (8/17/2005 11:53:13 AM)

wow I did that on my first post too. hope this fast reply is the right one ...

edit to add... evidently NOT!

ok so where am I supposed to click?

CalliopePurple -> RE: Technical issue (8/17/2005 1:23:05 PM)

If you wanna have it say "in reply to ..." and ... isn't the person that last posted, click where it says "Reply" at the TOP of that post.

And if you want to quote part of what they said before you reply just highlight what you want to quote and then click reply at the top of that post.
