Status: offline 		Well, 'total' to one person can be totally different to another.  And, some people use TPE for 'The Power Exchange'.
 
I would agree, the term generally refers to 24/7 degree of authority-swap...but for some that goes so far as to include bank accounts, property, etc; for others, not so much. 
 
As always, things are defined by the individuals involved.
