Don't stress the FemDom/Domme thing too much - you know the saying "you can't please everyone all the time"? I know just as many who hate the term Domme as who hate FemDom ... it's just a personal preference, like those who insist on being called "ma'am" and I just cringe inside to hear it (although working at the jail will probably cure me of that ... eventually). When you find someone that you connect with, find out what She prefers and that's all that should matter to you.

oops! i'm sorry... ^^;;
it's just that i saw the term "FemDom" written just like that around here a few times so i just thought that was the right way to write it here! eeps!.. i didn't mean any offense to you or MistressGrace07 or anyone else.

...i wonder if it's better to err on the side of caution and spell it "Dom" or "Domme" ~herm! maybe i will try to do both all the time.. or somethin'... ~

No need, at all, to apologize, ragdoll. You will see the terms FemDom, Domme, Domina, and even (the one I shudder at) Dominatrix.
Just as an FYI, Dom indicates a male dominant, and Domme indicates a female dominant.
It's just a way of feminizing the shortened version of Dominant to specify gender.
And I love your avatar, too!

:) That's good advice.... i'll keep that in mind. ~
i guess i just don't like the idea of upsetting or irritating anyone by saying the wrong thing... but i don't like to offend people in any way by my words in completely vanilla type settings too. soo... that's just me.

It's kind of hard for me to accept that "you can't please everyone all of the time", but... i do understand that the statement is very much true. ^_^

Ms Purrmeow's sentiment seems to be common among the vast majority of those Femdoms who aren't primarily dedicated to their Husband or boyfriend. It seems to me that the longer O/one has been actively involved in The Lifestyle the less solid boundaries like gender and sexual orientation tend to be for them.
As a result it has been my experience that for many Femdoms they are far more interested in the quality of a submissive/slave than the package in which that quality is held (though I find this is less the case for Male dominants, go fig).
Overall while outward elements are still important to Femdoms, the longer they have been involved in The Lifestyle the less gender seems to matter. However, regardless of if one is a male or female, being physically attractive or at the very least of pleasing appearance is still greatly valued.
Perhaps the best advice i can offer is that regardless of if you're a man or a woman, you should value yourself enough to always look your best.
But that's just what I've managed to gather in my limited experiences. Nevertheless I hope it's helpful.
Respectfully Submitted

Oh, goody! I thought maybe it was just me. There's something about the term "FemDom" that grates on my nerves. I, too, prefer Domme.
