Ahahah. In My experience, whenever I inflict severe pain and bitchiness immediately at the beginning, 'subs' complain that I come on too strongly.

Grlwithboy, I was thinking the same thing! To the OP, I am wondering what you did do. Was it scene related, or more vanilla type getting-to-know-you activities. From what I understand, many people meet several times before deciding to indulge in any play at all. I can also be VERY sadistic, but I have to be in the right mood. That doesn't mean I am not a sadist, it just means I don't turn it on and off like a faucet. Some people inspire it and others don't.

It also could be like the old joke. The masochist walks up to the sadist and says, "beat me!". The sadist replies, "No". My Master is a sadist and he prefers hiting me with implements I dislike or in ways that hurt more. It is fun to hit me when I am getting off on it, but it is MORE fun when I'm not liking it as well.
