When you absolutely, positively need a body count to exceed six figures, you need a strong leader. One who has truly convinced you that He Is Right.

And when a nation like ours goes out and elects one, the rest of the world gets the message.  These are dangerous times.  You'd prefer a novice or proven weakling?

Good analysis if you feel the presidency is nothing more than a big dick contest.

Given the way Bush ran away from Saudi Arabia, who says Bush is a strong leader?

At best, *strongman* would describe the way he's manipulated key positions in the Justice Department, to remain un-indicted for the crimes he's committed... In fabricating a case to invade Iraq... In spying, without warrant or oversight on *all* telecommunications in the US... and I'm sure we could brainstorm enough other overt acts to supply another half-dozen charges to the indictment without much trouble.

Given the way Bush failed in Iraq, who says Bush is a strong leader?

Given the way Bush has failed to arrest and prosecute the criminals responsible for planning and financing the 9/11 attacks, who says Bush is a strong leader?

i'd prefer an intellectual. One who could not only define the word "hubris", but also give due consideration to its role in international relations. There's more to global politicking than saying "Oh yeah!?!" and shoving the other guy.

While i will grant that the last damned thing we need is another Jimmy Carter, the President is the Chief Executive, he is not a priest-king. His role goes beyond raising the standard and leading his sheep to death or glory.

An intellectual wouldn't STFU and do his job, ensuring continued profit taking by his REAL Constituencies.

Every wonder why Mario Cuomo hung it up after all that time running New York? He's TOO SMART to be a President.

Do you have any proof that Rudy Giulliani actually said that, or are you just having some fun and being creative.

I can't deny that I was having fun, primarily waiting to see how long it would take you to ask for proof. But then I got called away... [;)]

popeye1250 -> RE: Fascists Unite! Here's Your Man... (12/5/2007 10:47:12 PM)

You guys can bang away at each other all you want, I'm voting for Ron Paul.

MrRodgers -> RE: Fascists Unite! Here's Your Man... (12/5/2007 10:50:09 PM)

So who IS Rudy Giulliani anyway ? Just who is this guy ? Is he the new Paris Hilton of politics (after Newt Gingrich) ? Famous only because he is famous.

The only candidate worth talking about anymore after McCain kissed Falwell's ass...is Ron Paul. Debate on the republican side for me...ended months ago.

Are you shitn' me.....''Weakling'' --- That's laughable...anyone taken a good look at the current cadre of presidential candidates? Ninety-five percent of the women on collarme have wider shoulders than dorks like Wudy.

I can't wait till they start airing commercials with Wudy in a blond wig and lipstick.

Wudy's a ''strong leader''? Ha! Put the wig back on him.....He's lowly, pathetic disgrace to the male species.

What??? Not even any male species credit for being able to trade up wives so many times? ... [;)]

Yeah....He's definitely a cheat--I forgot about that.

How many girls /ladies are going to vote for him after they find out the true nature of his scandalous behavior.

That's what really sticks out for me : I never read/hear of much female support for Wudy. Most of his support comes from this very autocratic-leaning 35 to fifty-something group of white males {crackers} who seem to desire a very stringent/strict ''super-authoritarian'' figure.

Very weird if you ask me. [;)]

When I post quotes or news articles I habitually post credible links to go with them, Sinergy.

How much does that offset the defamatory practice of fabricating statements, and then attributing them to others?

I'd suggest, given your lack of credibility, it's not going to damage your reputation, but it certainly doesn't repair it.

Popeye, Mrrogers, subfever and I all understand the essential truth here: there is NO choice for those who want to vote for both peace AND freedom in this election.
It's Ron Paul all the way.

Ideally, that would be the case. With the present POTUS though,it`s not.The world doesn`t fear us any more than before the Iraq invasion, and we`ve lost our respect and the moral high ground. The trade off isn`t a good one.

The US,w/ a strong leader, can preserve our freedoms, ~and~, kick butt on the bad guys.Ron Paul has said as much,in his critique of the Bush administration.

The neo-cons, telling you we must limit and/or curtail our freedoms and rights,in order to fight terrorism are full of shit(you know who you are..).

Giuliani is one of those who think this way. He`s ~Bush~ times ten.Sure, he got results,so did Mussolini.Mussolini cleaned up Italy(by sending the mob here),made the trains run on time, etc.and was very successful as a strong arm fascist.

Rudy was also very successful, and in very much the same way.

And how he conducted himself before, during and after the WTC attacks, showed him as anything but a strong leader.

We shouldn`t equate reckless and dangerous actions of leaders, with strength(like Iraq).Anyone can order troops into battle or torture and abuse prisoners.

A strong ,righteous, moral leader would be able to protect us and our freedoms and rights, without stooping so low or becoming as evil as what we`re fighting.
