Hehe--as I was about to give you advice on shaving your balls, I thought that perhaps I should click on your profile and see if it applied.  OOPS  [:o]

I would suggest a very sharp razor and shave gel....cut the hair down first, and then shave as you would anything else...albeit carefully.  I suggest doing it sitting on the edge of the tub and rinse the razor often. to avoid nics and missing spots.

waxing, nair, or plucking is always gunna hurt - I like the pain - but alas no cash.

have you had pain issues with shaving in the past? beyond a couple of nics??

for after I would suggest an exfoliating mitt and some mild soap and a moisturizer :)

JS likes me to shave certain areas as well and this is what I've found works best for everything..

The SHAVING itself tends to be painless as long as you don't nick yourself.  Time consuming and laborious, but not painful.

It's the AFTER that gets really irksome, and trust me when I say I've tried everything and for me nothing really works.  My skin and hair type just work against everything out there.

There's tons of great advice here though.

Being I own a hairy hairless chinese crested I had to learn how and what tools I needed to keep him properly groomed one of the tools I use for his face and ears is a small clipper basically a copy of  the wella contura which you could ask a hairdresser to order for you but is fairly expensive, instead I found a copy on ebay from a seller in China and had ordered 2  plus extra blades for each one of which I now use on myself and reserve the other for the dog, it is faster than shaving without the nicks and narrower across the blade than a razor  http://stores.ebay.com/ixwisdom-Store_Wella-Hair-Clipper_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ10470373QQftidZ2QQtZkm

the one  that has the $ 9.90 starting bid is the one  I bought   probably heats up faster than  the real  Wella  contura   but a heck of  a lot cheaper than $140  of the original they also sell and does the job  I need it to do and beein using  with the orignal blade for a year, just make sure to  oil blade before each use to prolong the life of the blade and  shave against the direction of the hair growth

I found a razor called the eRazor. It is amazing! I was getting ingrown hairs and razor bumps bad and this gives the smoothest shave with non of that. Its a dry shaver that you use either powder or silicone lube. I prefer the lube.  http://www.hairerazor.com/

don't you worry about a thing. my usual procedure is to completely immoblize the sub in need. i then proceed to pluck out every little obnoxious intruder, one by one, with my trusty Zircon encrusted tweezers. Nope......don't hurt me a bit
