While I'm sure this has been a topic in the past, I'm looking for up to date information and feedback on nylon whips. I am a bootblack who is frequently known to say, "Bootblacks do it with bootlace!!!" So adding a paracord whip is just the thing I need to add to my toybag this holiday season.

I've asked around to see some examples locally but noone has turned up at the dungeon on the right nights with one. Others have said they have used them before but don't own them. I have seen a few websites. I'm thinking I'd like a 3 or 4 foot snake whip as I'm only 5'2" tall and I don't always have a lot of room to work. I'd also like something with a bb or similiar core I believe and preferably an easily replaceable cracker as I can't stand waiting to get toys back in the mail. I do like the idea of becoming an accuracy whore, I enjoy target shooting and would love target whipping. 

Eventually I'd love a 'roo one or matched pair from the folks at Happy Tails but until I find a boy/boi willing to buy me one or a pot of gold at the end of my tunnel that will just be another special savings fund in the piggy bank for a bit.

I've only handled a nylon whip a couple times, but I found it to be too light for my tastes.  I'm far from an expert on nylon whips, but I do really enjoy single tails - they definately didn't grab me as a "must have".

I' ve always recommended an 8 plait Morgan signal whip as a good starter whip - www.davidmorgan.com - they're $150, which isn't an outrageous amount over what the nylon whips cost.  My first single tail was a 3 foot Morgan (roo), and it's still a favorite to use in a smaller space.  When I got mine probably 6-7 years ago, they were $104 - at the time, a fetish store near where I was living was selling Morgans for closer to $250.   If you *love* whips, you'll eventually want to spend more money on a better one, but for the price, a Morgan is a good place to start.   YMMV of course.   I have only had to have the popper replaced once on it.

Happy Tails has great whips (I have one of their shortie bullwhips, a tomcat, a hog slapper, a viper), but if you get a chance to go to a fetish event where Midnight Blue is vending, go have a look at their selection - very drool-worthy.

I used to sell " the whip chic" s nylon single tails .Not sure about her production or cost  etc .I will say when i was selling them the price point and quality were great .thewhipchic .

Dear BootBlackBlast, Ladies and Gentlemen;
 
I would use boot lace, especially on the combat boot and those long shank boots that are popular, if rawhide and or leather; hooked into the eye-hole of a Tex-Mex quirt.  Pulling one lace back under the gripping hand, leaves one lace free--which in the 1970's; was called a 'poor man's single tail.'  Its extremely accurate and bites heavy.  It also allows use on the side stroke across the bottom.  Single tails could be used like that however, you would hit with the belly of the single tail and due to the diameter--more of a thud; then you still have to be concerned about the cracker/popper whipping about and slapping-- where it might not be intended to hit.
Now, I do wrap single tails (two, one in each hand) around a slave's back and hit on the nipples as I am close.
 
I'll never part easily with my Tex-Mex quirt with a boot lace--it was given to me with a boot black as a token of admiration.  So, it has a special spot for me.
 
Just some thoughts.

A couple of Coyote Whips are always in my toy bag because they are so easy to use and clean up so easly and well. If you want something specific just drop him a note. He's very accomodating.

I picked up a paracord whip from www.coyotewhips.com at the New England Leather Alliance Fetish Fair Fleamarket last year because I was playing with a heavy bloody bottom. Being able to swap out my falls rather than bloody up my kangaroo seemed a far wiser option.  It's got a nice throw, stores small, and is ready to roll from the bag you bring it home in.  It doesn't replace my Joe Wheeler, Mike Murphy or my Peter Jack whips, but it surely has it's place in my playroom and toybag.

I have a wonderful roo Mike Murphy, love whips and I am wanting a matched set of 5' nylon bulls. I have fondled a few of friend's, can't remember who made them, but the most recent was a 21stcenturywhip.com, and it was a bit light & flimsy for my taste. I have heard good things about cowwhips.com, but like was said earlier, he is NOT kink friendly at all. His waiting list is about 6 months now. But they are "shot loaded".
