Status: offline 		okay, I've tried my best to keep from thinking about this since it happened two days ago. I thought if I stayed in denial, maybe it would be like it never happened. It's not working, though, so maybe it's time to share...
We frequently run our silicone sex toys through a dishwasher cycle to sterilize them. Not a big deal, usually, since we take them out as soon as they're finished. However, this time we put them in on Thursday night and forgot to take them out on Friday morning before going off on an overnight trip. It's probably pretty obvious where this story is leading, right?
Shortly after we returned home on Saturday afternoon, my mother dropped by the house unexpectedly. I made her a pot of coffee as usual, and after she drank some, she went to rinse her cup out before I could do it for her. And then...horror of horrors...I hear her asking "are these dirty?" as she pulls open the door of the dishwasher and slides out the top rack. There in all its glory is our modest collection of multi-colored, multi-shaped toys, some of the larger ones wobbling a bit like some kind of odd jello jiggler molds.
There were an awful few moments of embarrassed silence, of course - after which I just shut the dishwasher with my hip and took the cup from her to hand wash it. I know I made some comment, but I don't remember what it was.
Anyway...there's my story. Doesn't really serve any purpose other than to get it off my chest. Hm, maybe my mother will learn to call before coming over the next time.

Course now that I'm the *mom*, it seems that one of my daughters has a bigger

This past winter us kids (if you can still call me that) moved our parents to assisted living. Not too bad in the mind, but their bodies are shot and they cant keep up the old household. My mother in her 80's didn't want to have an auction so she parted out the whole house to us kids. She knows that I take an above average interests in certain human persuits, but we never never talk details. So she hauls me in her bedroom and hands me a box, and an old rolled up magazine and says offhandedly... you might as well have these, that's a german magazine-- (I was in the army in germany many years ago) and I put them in a box and then unrolled the magazine...It was a german sex magazine from like the mid 60's to early 70's (they are much more free about sex and perversions than anything stateside) .......... I stood up and there was my mom just staring blankly at me...can't help it but my face was red............

duh, I forgot. In the box was an old heavy metal 'swedish massager'. One of those ones that could run an Old singer sewing machine if need be. LMAO.

Status: offline 		I think that is a beautiful moment that you will always remember. I found a joint in an old purse my mom was throwing away. Hell I'll smoke it after her funeral whenever the old gal goes and smile the whole time. Anyway clover I can relate. My Mother in law cleans our house and my wife has forgotten and left out a toy or two. The funniest was her cat o nine tails that I made her hand briad from a length of rope back when she was still a bottom. Well mom finds it in the closet and decides it needs washing. Come to think of it, the thing is sparkley white now. I know you are horrified but hey, Mom's been around. You had to get that perverted side from somewhere. I love the "Are these dirty?" line. Priceless.

Status: offline 		Thanks for the laugh. I'm sure something similar has happened to all of us. I still can't find a pair of handcuffs I hid once before Valentine's day. I am wondering if one of the kids found it and took it.

Shouldn't be too big a deal. After all, you are an adult now...smiles

I don't go to the toy store with my mom... but we both know each other goes...heck.. I'm just slightly worried about seeing her and my dad at Folsom Street Fair. ...laughs...Now, THAT could be interesting...

We get the mattress up and, lying under their bed, is a set of anal beads. I was vaguely certain of what they were, but my youngest sister, who was 12 at the time, looks up and goes "Mommy, what are those?"

Status: offline 		My mom used to be that laid back when it came to sexuality. Then, about ten years ago, she converted to Greek Orthodox and now she's extremely conservative about it.
Oh, well. I'm sure she'll get over it eventually. She's come to terms (sort of) with everything else she disagrees with about my personal life.
I'll get over it, too. I managed to laugh at all of your stories today, so maybe I'll be laughing at my own soon, too. Okay, so the look on her face WAS funny as she stared at the buttplug. I can admit that, and that's a start
