just wondering what other owners have done or considered on the subject of tattoos, piercings, or brands as symbols of ownership, in place of or in addition to a collar. looking for new ideas for new tattoos or permanent marks.

Well, I believe I can post for my Owner on this one, since she's discussed this topic with me briefly in the past.  At some point in the future, perhaps a year from now, she will quite probably have me get a tattoo of the japanese word for "Fox" on the back of my upperback/neck-ish area.  Fox is, of course, my pet name.

Using the imagionation is always the best way to go. With a brand you are stuck with something very simple as you can not get much detail in a brand. Piercings can always be taken out for what ever reason just as a collar can be taken off. Tattoos can be blatenly obvious as to what they are or they can be designed to be so artfull that no one knows without full examination that it is a owners brand or a owners marking. They can incoperate something of her and of him and make them one just as two souls are one when joined.

Personally the best Brand or tattoo or collar in the world is the one left on the heart and in the mind. If you can not place the one there then the one on the body means nothing and can always be explained away. But the one in the heart and soul of the slave will remain with them for life.

I like all of em.

Tattoos are just hot for me.  Charlotte and I have a rather extensive one in mind, and Tigrita has plans for a design since she was young.  I don't see them as me marking my girl, exactly, but I'd certainly enjoy having a hand in the process.

I love piercings; but again, I think they represent individual taste.

Brands... I plan to brand my slave as 'a' slave.  It won't mean she's mine for ever, but it will certainly represent the choice she's made to be 'a' slave, forever.

While not permanent, a few other things I do;

My slave is usually either handcuffed or she's chained to my bed at night.  Done often enough, it can reinforce a 'permanent' status as my slave.

i have an eagle i drew for my slaves that goes just above genitals, doesnt say "slave" on it, but it is one i drew specifially for my slaves. the head faces one way for my alpha slave, and then faces the other way for second slave(s).the rest of thier tattoos are planned out for the most part. bruno will not be tattood as much as oldman is, but the layout is already there. i do let slaves have some input on other tattoos they may recieve. the PA(prince albert piercing) on bruno serves as a collar as he is around family members, and needs to be discreet.
i have also had a couple other people outside of here ask me about a tattoo for thier slave, and also brands. i have never done any branding. so i was wondering what others takes were on this.

thanks

Tatoos are an esthetic choice. Personnaly I don't like them very much. I watch a lot of boxing and mixed martial arts on TV. When I don't know the fighters I always root against the one who has the most tatoos. Resonable people can differ on this but I don't find tatoos sexy.

Piercings have a health dimension. Masters who put piercings in their slaves need to understand sterile conditions. I have had to remove infected piercings from women. This is not sexy.

Branding does tickle my imagination in ways tatoos and piercings don't. I have considered branding a couple of my slaves but there have always been other issues. Certainly no woman who really considers herself to be your slave will object to you branding her. That fact however just puts all the responsibility on you.

In a sense when you brand a woman you transfer some control to her. Thereafter she will bear proof on her body of your actions to her. Maybe she has a father, a brother, or a husband. Maybe she develops regrets or maybe she finds Jesus. If she wants to, she bears permanent evidence against you. If it gets really nasty a brand won't look good in open court.

Yes, branding a woman seems sexy but I don't think its very prudent. It lacks plausible deniability - "Your honor, I don't know how my name got branded on her ass".

For me, personally..I envision a combination of both tattoo and branding to mark a slave as my permanent property. Artistically there's not a whole lot you can do with branding, or so I would think. However, it is a good representation of their willingness to endure pain and suffer a little for me. A tattoo would represent more of the beautiful side of our relationship..so, combining the two would have more meaning to both her and I. As for the actual design of both the tattoo and the brand, that is something that would be unique to our relationship, something that reflects both of our personalities and the growth we've made together.

I have been tattooed, branded, scarred, burned and cut with marks of ownership.

Well said, Just Me! My sentiments exactly.

I honestly have no use for collars. If I am fortunate enough to have a lasting, long-term D/s relationship, I would have my sub get an unobtrusive, yet-to-be-designed tattoo as a mark of ownership. And I would do the same!

Tattoos, piercings or brands?  I loathe them all with prejudice and passion.  I don't need my name scrawled on anything to recognise or express what belongs to me - how's that for a new or least novel idea in this unfortunate age of female body mutilation?  Body "art" - pffft - gimme a clean skinned feminine girly girl anyday....!

when Daddy and i got together, i already had 5 tattoos. i got another one while we were in the "lets get to know one another" stage.  i'd had nipple piercings, but dont any longer.

we've talked about me getting another one, symbolic of my submission to and slavery under him.  we have to decide on the pattern though.

kitten, Daddy's lil one marked or not

any of these forms should be done by experienced professional. if a piercing is done correctly and taken care of correctly there should be no problem. some people do have reaction to nickle in the stainless steel jewelry, which can happen even with surgical stainless. there is also titanium and acrylic jewelry.

i have seen infected piercings. this is usually a result of non sterile jewelry or conditions in work area, or poor after care. piercings do not need a lot of care, and can be overcleaned. genital piercings tend to heal faster with urine passing over piercing. some piercings like nipples and genitals have a suggested heal time of 2-6 months. navel 6 months to a year. my PA healed in about 2 weeks and was able to move to a bigger piece of jewelry. bruno's PA healed in a very short time also, but oldmans vertical nipple has been having some re-healing issues.

I have several piercings, but consider them all to be temporary. I would love a corsett piercing but have yet to see a good one, and certainly am not about to let someone experiment on me.

Tattooes are permanent, and of course the danger of any permanent mark, sigil or  symbol representing  someone youve just split up with is obviously not the optimum. I would be wanting to know 100% certain that the person whom I put thier name or mark on my skin is going to appreciate them forever. The trouble is that life doent give you any such guarantees.

What I find appalling is people who are half pissed *drunk* picking a tattoo at random for a certain price at a tattoo parlour. You really have to wonder at anyone permanently disfiguring themselves with a cost effective cheap tattoo and to be honest ive seen some horrendous tattoos, one that immeditely comes to mind is a bright red elmo on a girls leg wth her childs name on it. Thats going to be so much more unattractive in thirty years time. It ranks up there with tigers, dragons, eagles, black roses, cherrys and bluebirds. It would be nice if someone picked something  interesting and novel instead of all looking like badly drawn clones.

cheers

jess

greetings masterlink,

i have nipple piercings and a vertical hood piercing that i got as a permanent marking for him. my piercer is really good, though, a registered nurse and kink-friendly, so i've never had to worry about having problems with my piercings being sterile or my jewelry being bad. i will also be getting two tattoos for him; one is his mark, the other is a butterfly that he likes. i am considering getting a couple more piercings for him as well, and i also have a two other tattoos for myself (one is a phoenix on my lower back, the other is a tibetan om with a goddess symbol drawn in, symbolizing my spiritual path) and plan to get at least one more (i'd like to get a quote by jane goodall). we have also discussed branding and it's something i would really like to do, but if we do it, it will not be for a long time. the other ones i will probably have done within six months to a year.

respectfully,
annabelle.

I participated in a branding ceremony a few years ago. The Master designed the brand symbol, something Japanese, and each "leg" of the symbol was a seperate iron, so the actually branding took some time, and which meant that the slave was actually branded several times in those few minutes. The ceremony was much like a M/s wedding and I was the Best Man, as it were. I heated the individual irons, passed them to Him and took the used ones from Him. I was completely amazed and impressed that the slave only twitched once, maybe twice, nothing more. The healing process was, for lack of a better word, ugly. It was a battle with infection, but she ended up winning.
It was a very moving and humbling experience for me.
