Got mine in real life and just used it. Now if you want to know how I actualy got it, just ask. Without getting specific, I made a phone call to my good drinking buddy Jack, his olady answered, called him to the phone. He asked who it was and she said "The Terminator". He gets on the phone and knew exactly who it was. His name is Rif-Raf. He, Bandanna and Hunter didn't come to the jam session last night so it was Scratch, Baldylocks, Fuzzy, Gaak (or Sasquatch) and I. Cowboy couldn't come because of a previous engagement. Bandana and Cowboys' oladies have not been named yet. Rif-Raf's olady has earned the name Pancake, but we don't address her as such, get this, because she might flip. My Father is Brother Love, named by my Uncle because, well, he is pretty much the exact opposite of what the name implies. We take alot more care in giving Women names. Pancake does not officially accept the name, but Hunters olady, Squaw has. Hunter actually uses the word hunter in his email address. It fits, hunting season comes along it is all he wants to do. Speaking of naming Women, recently I made a mistake, I called Psychobitch Crazybitch, I won't make that mistake again ! My Mother actually kinda got the name The Bitch at work. She was head of the purchasing department and she said "This is a perfect job for a Woman, I get to spend money and bitch about it". She started singing "The bitch is back" like when she got back from a vacation or something. They joined in. She wasn't bitchy at the company, but when somebody screwed up their order, well she had this way. When someone screwed up she got this tone of voice, it is indescribable. Not a whine, but that was part of it, there was a good component of ire, and she could reduce the biggest Man to a heap of ashes without using a single cussword. But enough on that, it would be a subject in and of itself for a totally different thread. Kinda back to the OP, how do we choose email addresses as well ? I know it is a bit different on CM, but for example, in a chat room I read "So you mean _________" and the response was "Zzactly". I said hang on a second and hurried up and created an email account, and I got it with no numbers. I think it is a cool word, and this isn't really giving out my email without the domain. Actually in the future I might persue getting in in some other domains. Any of you happen to know what domain I use for email, don't email me there, it will be discarded as spam. My registered email, the one I used when I joined CM is the one to get me at. When I look at it I am looking for certain things and retrieve some things that my spam catcher caught. Zzyzzwicky is another, but it now has numbers. I actually was the one that screwed that up. I used to have it but lost the password and had to put some numbers on it. But the origin of the word itself came out of a really stupid contest a few people had going in Cleveland. It was their goal to be last in the phone book. The last winner before the phoneco put a stop to it was Zzyzzly, Zwight. The rules were simple, the phoneco had to believe that it was real enough to put in. Remember you had to have a phone installed in that name. There were also families that got their kids a seperate phone and could list them anyway they want. Whatever, it had to appear in the phone book. Nobody knows who the players really were, and even though people may have pondered for a long time to come up with a real sounding name, you only get the results once a year. You can't wrap your life around this, but I must admit that when the new phone books came the first thing I did was to see who was last. Y'know, it occurs to me that I now wish I had the balls to call that person. Like "Hey I see you are this year's winner". But then what if that IS a real name ? I'd have to get real cool real fast. That's something that needs to be defused right away, making fun of their name is what it amounts to, really. But really, I would try to ask them just what nationality winds up producing a last name that starts in Zz. Because if one exasts, I would really like to know. Even last names, I have run across two that begin in Mr. First time I saw this I was sure it was a typo or something, but when you see it on a check or a credit card, it's pretty real. Where are these peoples' families from ? I have taken this way too off course, sorry, but it is intriguing how any name is selected or created. I think alot of them are supposed to mean something. Whether a real name, an email, or a CM ID, there is usually a statement being made, and sometimes people wonder where that person escaped from. I have seen some wierd ones. T
