MasterFire,

Seems that you have learned the lesson of moving too fast. Thanks for that sharing.

i do, as much as i possibly can.  my running joke is that being with me is punishment for one's transgressions...Daddy maintains i'm a gift from the gods.

i honestly believe james and Fallcon were brought into my life (or me into theirs) so that their last years would be good, and that they could reconcile themselves with their pasts before they crossed over.  both of them did this, and although i miss them terribly (they both passed on in december, james the 18th and Fallcon the 25th) i am proud to have been there for them.

kitten, still having grief issues from time to time

Daddy didn't 'collar' me until about two and a half years into our relationship. The relationship was still D/s based before that, but I was not formally his property. I love him madly and completely and would have waiting ten years for him to 'collar' me, if that had been his choice. He's extremely happy and so am I.

And I'd been 'into bdsm' for about ten years before I'd met him.

salilus,

Another success story from those that waited before the collar. I note that there has been no input from those that rushed into it and found a sad ending..

Thanks for your input.

We all continue to read profiles that denote extreme joy over finding their Sir or Master or Ma'am/Mistress and taking a collar. Often times the person is a relative newcomer to the path and a few times the person has spent a year or more on the path.

Thus the the question is, after one year under a Collar, how as it gone? For responses, it would be appreciated how long you were in the lifestyle before taking a collar.

I'm not collared persay (I don't have a collar that I wear with any regularity, although I do have a drawer full of necklaces and stuff that looks like collars that he's given me over the years).  I do have other symbols of ownership (piercings and a brand).

So with that caveat (and the hope that I'm counting properly)....

When I first started seeing him I had been in BDSM for about a year or two and that was ten years ago.  He offered ownership after we had been seeing each other for three years and the first symbol of ownership (outer labia piercings) happened five and a half years after we first started seeing each other and the second symbol of ownership (brand) happened seven and a half years after we started seeing each other.

In terms of how its going, I'm not really good with the mushy-stuff but I feel like the relationship is going great - and we are still discovering new things about each other and new things to try (everyday stuff and within BDSM).

Wild,,

Well I think it is safe to say that yout symbles of being owned serve the same as a collar.

Thanks for you input.
