One of the question I would like to know is why do women or men feel the need to be submissive or a slave? Why or what compels you?

because its who i am. because i feel safe and comforted being owned, and knowing that Daddy is there for me. because i need the physical sensation that he administers to me, that i dont get otherwise. because it makes me feel helpful and good knowing i am doing for others...from doing laundry for the household to cooking dinner, to making sure there is iced tea in the icebox. all of that is me being true to myself, and showing my submission to the household's needs. kitten

What compels me is very simple...look at Mistress's picture and you'll figure it out! LOL...I'm only half-kidding. While Mistress is absolutely breathtaking, it's obviously only a part of the equation. I am submissive to my very core, but I want to give my submission to that one special domme. I love to know that I bring all sorts of positives to Her life and that I'm a very valuable asset to Her. I love to be of service to Her, no matter how big or small. I do my best to please Her as often and in any way I possibly can. To know I'm an asset to Her is wonderful, but to hear Her tell me that I did a good job and She's proud of me...that just takes the cake! I know She can have anyone She chooses, so that also compels me to work extra hard for Her. I try to make myself irreplacable in Her life. I want Her to know She can depend on me for anything, whether it's just to be an ear to listen or to have somebody "bumped off"...LOL. [:D] I'd do anything to protect Her because I know She will take care of me to the best of Her abilities. That is why I choose to serve Her and no one else.

because it is what i am. too much of the time in raising my children i must be in control, the responsible one the one that keeps everything together and i hate it. but when i enter into the Dom/sub power exchange, then i am free. for me it is balance and letting the other half of me be.

Quite simply; a person triggers that response in me. Does not have to be a partner; can be anyone. Does not have to be a male; females have triggered it also. Not everyone does either...with most, nothing would compel or force me to submit in any way...but with others...it just happens. Just something about the other person triggers an automatic response in me that I don't even bother to control.

FR: Kayla's remarks about kids are very true for me as well. Also, I find I function better when I answer to someone. I'm a gifted underachiever, it's on my Permanent Record. I'm a fully functional human, very capable of being on my own, but that's not the circumstance in which I thrive.

Thanks for your post everyvbody..... I agree with a number of points you have made. Being wanted and not being responsible or in control are some of them... I have noticed some women or men are more reseptive when being dominated. In fact they go to great lenght to be brats and until they dominated. Its as if its call for attention. What do you think people?

I can agree with many here who say it's ~who~ I am, yet life being what it is makes us part of that ~who~. With that said I have a slightly different view of my submission (yes i've been branded not so submissive more then once) smile...... Live a few years and you grow/evolve. We learn by our mistakes and often have to take the lead (think of this in terms of limits when your getting to know another) So although your submission is fed somewhere, there is another area where you do lead. To find that spark where you can offer yourself fully is rare, and until you find that somebodys got to lead! If that is the brat your refering to, it could be simply a limit that has not passed the test of trust.

What I mean was that on one occassion this girl enjoyed being really bratish.... she when out of her way to be rude and annoy me... let I go I said..... Until I was really assertive she completely changed and started making sexual ovetures.... so I suppose people are just submissive and for some its sexual.... whats your take peoples?

What do you think people? i'd say brattiness is a call for attention, indeed. but i also see it as i see with UM's who misbehave...even negative attention is better than none at all. Daddy would rather reward me for good behavior than punish me for bad...and i feel horrible when i think i've let him down. he doesnt like me being bratty, but he does enjoy it when my intelligence and good humor show. being his gives me the freedom to be who i am, while being who HE needs also. kitten, always Daddy's girl, no matter where i am in relation to him

For me to a certain extent its a demonstration of devotion. Worshipfullness for lack of a better term. Recognizing that my Wife/Mistress is a powerful amazing woman and my having a need to worship that power. To submit to her will. In regards to people that are being brats etc. Generally they are bottoms that are posing as sub's. They want to be played. They want attention. They are not truely submitting to someone. They are simply trying to manipulate someone to give them what they want. Totally different breed...

I think most everything in life has some pinch of sexuality in it. From the simply benign asking for the sex of the child to be, to the Manager doing the hiring. Although I also believe that submission or dominance is something we are born with that is tweeked by conditioning and life experiance. Watch the Nilla world around you and clues are everywhere. [;)]

One's vanilla personality isn't necessarily controlling of their role. I'm very assertive in my everyday life. I don't do it for attention, I do it because it's who I am. Yes it can be sexual, but for many it's about service whether that be sexual or not.

What is the biggest turn on for you being submissive or a slave? what turns you on the most and why? Is it more exciting being dominated and the person does not know you are submissive by nature?

I have no turn on, no switch or button that I find exciting that makes me submissive. For me to offer my submission means that I have agreed with the one who calls themself a dominant and recognize them as such. The turn on or that switch I find exciting is the comfort of being open, nothing to hide and knowing I am still safe.

How would they not know you are submissive by nature? Most people don't engage in bdsm and/or d/s with people they don't know other than dungeons and stuff. By the way, double posting the same topic in two different sections is not welcomed by the Mods here.
