Hello all,

I have read with great interest a few posts recently around offering service to a Domme, owner, etc. They have been really wonderful, and have prompted this question. Beyond some of the tasks that fall within day to day chores... Cleaning, errands, and other similar duties.

I was wondering... what little extras have You enjoyed or would You enjoy....

A mint on the pillow... filling Your car with gas.... washing the windows.... fresh cut flowers...

What would those little extra's be... that might move my servce from being "really good" to "really GREAT"...

I love anything that is done with the obvious intent to make me happy and WITHOUT the manipulative intent to get me to do stuff to them.

Thanks Master Fire!

I appreciate that... My thought... is that a bunch of relatively simple tasks could be performed and that they may be very meaningful. Maybe just learning to prepare some favorite meals. Perhaps it would be recording those TV shows that are favorites...

Just thought, that some tasks that funnily enough just seem like friendly gestures, might also in the right contect be wonderful sign of submission and service too :)

Dear putmetowork, Ladies and Gentlemen;

For me, I see all slaves/submissives/servants as wonderful. To be great in my eyes; they would have to serve from the 'heart/spirit.' Those who have served from there, I find most kind and compassionate, healing in their own way--serving 'in grace.'

Nothing needs to be done or said. I see the eyes, the window to their spirit/soul/heart--the greatness is there when that area transmits --How may I be of service to you.

Just some thoughts.

Every person is different, and of course will want different things; the challenge is to learn to read the person and find what they want before they want it, so as to anticipate their needs! Some of that comes from having a relationship to the person, but much is able to be gleaned from observation. What does she put in her coffee? What's her favorite magazine? That sort of thing.

In more concrete terms: I wish to heaven some sub out there could do a decent scalp massage! I hate having my feet massaged, but my scalp, oh yeah!

Totally agree with Lady Hibiscus - we could each give you a laundry list of things that would please us, but it would be irrelevant. You need to find out what makes your lady happy. Feel free to cheat and use a vanilla boyfriend trick: ask her best friend or her sister what petty stuff she gripes about, so you know what to fix for her. :)

Seriously, though, the little extras are completely dependent on the person you're serving. Nothing works for everyone: maybe she doesn't like mints and gets hayfever. So, the only advice I can give is to find out what is special to her and do that. And do it as a gift, not as an up-front payment.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Not responding to any particular person and or response; for me at times the greatest service to me is just being there at my feet as a companion.

I appreciate all the things my slave does for me and that helps me an awful lot but, I am often grateful for the companionship and not have the slave so busy that they are not around me, keeping a form of companionship.

Just some thoughts.

Keeping my hairdye supplies up to date... checking the cupboard to see what colors I'm out of and need and either ordering them for me or leaving a note right by the computer for me so that I can do it myself.

When living in a cold climate like I'm visiting now, going out and de-icing and warming up my car when I'm putting my makeup on for a night out, without being told.

...And just generally learning those tiny details of preferences. Like for me, before I take a bath or shower I rinse (and sometimes wash) out the tub even though it's clean. A sub running my bath for me would be lovely, but them remembering to rinse the tub first would put the service up to Great.

Everyone has their little details and quirks like that, learning them is what to me makes excellent service.

A phone call when the sub is on the way, asking if there is anything they can pick up for me.
Noticing when something is running low, and either adding it to my shopping list without being told, or verbally letting me know "Did you know you are almost out of sugar?"
Noticing tasks that I have them do regularly, and asking during a slow moment "would you like me to do this?"
Notcing things I often forget, and gently reminding me of them at the proper time.
E-mails with pictures or links related to things I like saying "I saw this and thought of you"
Asking what I want rather than buying me something I may not want, need, or may already have.
