What modifications to the St. Andrews cross have you used and like and that worked?

I extended the arms on top and installed pulleys.  This allowed for some interested rope work.  Plus One cross does not fit all so with the extended arms I did not have any problems with taller people.  I like the pulley because I like the clean look verses eye bolts installed along the length of the arms.

I also installed a folding hinge so when not in use I could store it to make room for other pieces.

what length of boards did you use if you made the arms longer?

Try making one that bends at the waist. In three or four sections for a bit of a curve.

For the bent over effect, I will make a stock for the head and arms on a stand similar to this next.
