that in My opinion is LONG TERM and you need to be sure. of course if you just get your registered slave # tattoed on you then if you leave your current owner you can change your registration to the new owner on the site and your number always stays yours

Nothing is forever, make sure it isnt a name. Maybe a symbol would work, or a mark in Chinese such as the mark for slave.

I always thought that it would be hot to get tattooed by my Owner, but I never had the guts to do it.  But I do have to say that if I had been with a person for a long time, not cum in a while, teased alot and horney, I could be convinced to get one

I agree that the velcro phenomenon occurs. The instant hook-ups in chatrooms and by exchaning one email aside ( ;-) ), I think two reasons that have potential to challenge the longevity of a BDSM relationship are: (1) the limited pool of potential partners can cause one to compromise on interpersonal compatibility which can later become an issue, and (2) a culture that is more open to multiple play partners can lead to relationship changes.

Thanks for all of your insight. I appreciate all the info and advice given. You all have been very helpful to me and I understand things better now. It had been on my mind and maybe holding me back for a while.

That has the makings for a cheesy porn film. Here is a description of the trailer:

So and so productions presents......The Library! <some musical effect goes here>

I would never make any of my subs/slaves get a tattoo just to prove that I own them.
You are not being selfish or wrong for not wanting a tattoo.
