Status: offline 		I have a problem.  I am suffering from frenzy.  I am jittery and chock full of nervous energy, I am irritable and snappy, I have a voracious appetite yet nothing satiates me, I drink to slake my thirst and still remain parched.  I wander the house aimlessly.  I can't sit long enough to focus on a movie.  I sleep fitfully, only a few hours at a time.  I am crawling out of my own skin.

My Owner and I will be apart for approximately another 7 months, and whilst we have contact via phone and online, its not the same.  I know there are probably plenty of posts on frenzy, and I know I could look through the search function and read how each of you who identify have dealt with this (thought I would save you the search LA)... I just wanted to share it with someone so I didn't feel quite so alone, or quite so insane *sniffle*  thanks for listening

Status: offline 		This is going to sound strange,  but I sugest  Study.   no not on BDSM techniques,   prehaps get yourself a guitar and learn to play,   Learn Japanese and laugh at japanese game shows on you tube,   give yourself a  long term task  like that  and stick with it as if your Master himself ordered it.

i agree.... or learn or practice something wot you know your Master likes.... or do something or make something special for Him.... anything really just to keep busy...

and no you are not alone.
Although I wouldn't consider myself in a frenzy> I am in a LDR right now that causes months to go by without physcial contact.
I do understand it is a challenge..BUT  one that can be looked at as something you tackle together..
Is he helping you with this?  do you tell him all your feelings good and not so good ones?
does he help you direct your energies with assignments, tasks, routines? assignments to masturbate, with and without him ?
those things help me alot.... ALOT
things I am doing for him  but also for myself..
not always bdsm related too.
 
Communication is key  and not just the obvious  emails and phone talking chatting  I mean real honest communication about feelings  doubts  concerns....
 
Ask him for "time" alotted to speak of these things too ..so that you don't get a case of the guilts in " taking up your more precious times with negative feelings"<<<   I say that because that happened to me at first.  Tyson was wise enough to know what I was doing and helped us refocus and put times aside for us to talk about the challenges we were facing with the distance, honestly.
 
ok so  you've read this and you are sitting there saying to yourself >
  ya well Cyndi thats all well and good but I WANT TO FEEL HIM BEAT MY ASS !  how do you do that from miles away?????
 you don't....: (   I know   it sucks.
 
If you would like to write to me, I can pass along some ideas that Tyson has helped me with....I would be happy to share them with you and I know he wouldn't mind.
 
bottomline ..don't try to deal with this without him and his guidance.
it can actually be a strengthening experience for the relationship...  try not to throw hard objects at me LOL for that comment  ..but it is true ...we have and are growing stronger by it.  We have discovered a deeper way of "feeling each others presence" even from a distance.  BUT  I am also not saying that I won't be on here someday asking for "help I'm about to come out of my skin from primal desires!" ......cuz it just might happen  grinz..  hopefully if it does  someone here can be in a good enough place to say calmly what I need to hear and that I will listen : )

It really did help. My Sir thought it was so funny how much I read them. I would talk about them to him also which was fun.

Forgive me here but the concept of "frenzy" is just laughable to me.  If you were in a strictly vanilla relationship and he wasn't your "owner" but just someone you loved very, very dearly and you had to be separated for a long period, what would you call your feelings?  "Frenzy???"  No.  That's just an invented concept that gets slapped onto subs to attempt to neatly and tidily label all their feelings in one nice little package.  He is away and you are missing him terribly.  Deal with it like anyone would.  Get a hobby, take another job, do anything positive and constructive that you can to better yourself and fill your time.  Stay so busy you can't wallow in the misery of missing him all the time.  And please, don't buy into the idea that you're in some type of special, only-for-submissives feeling called a "frenzy."  Geesh, I personally find that such a patronizing concept as if all the poor, little helpless subs just can't deal like normal, capable vanilla folks.  Aaaarrrrggghhhh, just a pet peeve of mine and nothing personal..................luci

Status: offline 		Thanks to everyone for the great suggestions, and mostly for the support and for answering my call into the nothingness.  That alone has helped me feel, well less alone! 

Cyndi, I am out all day tomorrow, but as soon as I get back I will send you a mail on the other side

Luci, I would agree with you, I would.... it's just another lonely girl missing her guy....except in any other relationship I have felt the longing for companionship, friendship, touching, lovemaking.... but never this feeling that if I don't get smacked by something very soon... *giggle* maybe I should just try stubbing my toe on furniture.    Or doing what Maggie Gyllenhaal did in The Secretary... stand in front of the mirror with a hairbrush!   

You are right though, I do miss him terribly, and that I can communicate to him, and that I can compensate for that by listening to him read to me while I fall asleep, spending special loving moments with him, all the vanilla things you can do LD that helps with the longing to be with him, but isn't doing much to help with the wanting to be hurt by him.

I get that frenzy too. Actually I'm going through it right now, since I'm pregnant and we can't play heavily for many months to come.  Seriously, even if it feels silly, sometimes it has helped to... god forbid... flog myself.  I feel silly, but for this little masochist, it is kinda like masturbating.  It takes the edge off.  Just like masturbating may not release all of the sexual tension like good sex will, this won't fix everything.  It certainly is different to have the pain removed from someone else's control, but if you are joking about stubbing your toe in purpose, this should be more satisfying than that!

Get yourself three guys with high stamina and libidos. Have them take turns fucking you until they've fucked the frenzy right out of you. My guess is that you'll sleep very well thereafter.

If your Owner ever finds out, just tell him it was all for medicinal purposes only...

But you have, so you've already got half the battle down.

Let youself be frenzied (what else can you do?) but keep it in check.  Do a regular reminder of the good quiet soft times together.
