Good Morning, and thank you for reading,
I have done some reading on forced lacatation, and have learned, (along with correct lubes, and pumping, taking herbs or whoremoans,   *giggle* got to love it when the whore moans!) That some girls are able to, and some are not.
 
Was wondering if anyone would please share either some fisthand *grin* or knows of a friend of a friends of a friends experences, and a guess on the %'s IYNSHO..... Thank You,

My bets are that those who have lactated before are going to have an easier time, and very much older women are going to have a harder time in the main......

But if you wanna, really really wanna....you will express some milk.

It has to do with the body's natural propensities. Some women stop lactating just weeks after giving birth, whereas others continue their ability to lactate and breastfeed for years. If you want actual percentages, you can probably find that here www.babycenter.com.

If you have had children yet and were an easy and ample lactater, you will find it a lot easier to induce lactation using pumps, hormones and fenugreek than if you dried up quickly.

Also, as Ron said, women who have previously lactated will find it easier to induce lactation than those who are lactic virgins.

there is at least one medication that the side effect is often lactation, but I can't remember what it is. of course, I'm not sure how the lactation would flavor the milk *shrug*

Best advice, if you've never had UMs (or carried an um)--or even if you have--is to look at La Leche League.  They have a book The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding.  Also look here http://www.llli.org/NB/NBadoptive.html  The action of a baby's mouth to get the milk is not suction, so any method of expressing milk that relies on suction is going to be particularly painful if you're not experiencing the hormonal surges of post pregnancy.  It's more of a rolling action, and that's been my most successful method of expressing.

I have always enjoyed a lacating woman,If you are a hard working woman with your day filled ,its often hard to find the time to get the flow going,ITS not easy caring around full breasts at the work place and sneaking off to express several times a day..So   many things to consider before starting the flow...

Thank You so very much! figure with the high cost of a gallon of milk these days, its well worth it!! I am just gathering as much  info as possible, so my mind and body will be ready to have a go at it...

Medela is making some very nicely compact breast pumps these days that easily fit into a purse and can be used during a regular potty break at the office.

i wonder what kind of medication they give you to start the lactation. *scratches head* my best guess is oxytocin...i know that it's implicated in milk letdown, emotional bonding, and the female orgasm...

There is a "certain" airsickness  pill that works pretty well along with the reg regiment of pumping and herbs..Just tell your doctor you are flying across country several times smiles or go to one of the Canadian med sites..

this slave is living proof that this is true.  it mattered not what or how much this slave ate, drank or otherwise ingested, pumped or relaxed, after 6 weeks---it was over, done deal.  3 times.

Hmmm, you learn something new everyday. I thought that milk production continued until you stopped pumping and/or the baby stops suckling; a use-or-lose it kinda deal...

Well, look at the olden days, when nurses were actually that - "common" women who were virtual dairy cows that never ran dry and who were hired by the nobility to nurse their babies, so the noble women's breasts did not have to "suffer" the gravity-prone milk bag destruction.

Lactation is a hormonal dance. The hormone prolactin initiates this dance. In order for the body to produce prolactin the hormone dopamine must be suppressed. One commonly prescribed drug albeit “off-label” is Domperidone.
Domperidone is commonly prescribed for GERD. Lactation being an undesirable side effect for most. It seems many fifty year old men don’t enjoy lactation.
The intricacy’s of hormone production is best left to nature. It is a beautifully choreographed release. I am a mother. Trust me when I tell you I did everything to lactate. I had a very complicated twin pregnancy (will spare you the details) As a last resort, I was prescribed Domperidone. Hormone production is a bit complex. One of the glands that are manipulated with this drug is the pituitary gland. The pituitary is referred to as the Master gland ; ) …. And as we all know you don’t manipulate the Master.
After having manipulated that gland, I have had a cascade of auto immune diseases. Related? I don’t know. And four years later I am still able to express small amounts of milk.(Undesired for me). Your health is also to be considered.
Although, I have a feeling that you are very set in your desire. Many adoptive mothers have had success with lactation. It is possible. Good luck. (cassidygirl)

Unless she tells her doctor she is going to be flying non-stop for the next six months, she isnt going to get enough of that certain medication to induce.

I would really advise against taking prescription pharmaceuticals without being under the care of a physician. Especially when things like Reglan, which women have used to induce lactation, have been shown to cause severe depression leading to suicide in a significant enough number of women that it now bears a warning to that effect.

If a person really wants to lactate, she can do the herbal thing and the massage, but if she hasnt ever lactated in the past, it's going to be like a full-time job getting started.

Yahoo has a message board group dedicated to couples in adult-nursing relationships. Maybe the OP would like to check that out.

This drug is not legally available in the United States.
