I think categorizing people based on their sexual prefrences is a really poor choice. People are what they are individually, and you love who you choose to love, not what they are on paper.
I have seen a huge range in the personality of Dominants and Submissives.

Actually, I was thinking about this thread and its premise...

If we assume that the study does not differentiate between Doms and domineering (abusive or close-to-abusive) men, then I suspect that the abusers overwhelm the Doms staistically.  I further assume that the kind of woman who will be with an abuser will be from a lower socioeconomic stratum.

If the study was not corrected for socioeconomic factors, then it will be a study showing poorer people are less happy than more well-off ones, disguised as a condemnation of D/s.

This is what happens when clever people misuse statistics.

What's bad for a LTR is inflexibility.

A one way, rigid, I'm in control etc. dynamic might not be able to change and adjust to a partner over time.
