Dnomyar -> Switch (12/13/2007 5:40:40 AM)

If this is a Switch forum why are so many here against being labeled a Switch?

Alumbrado -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 5:45:54 AM)

Troll Alert!!!!

Dnomyar -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 5:58:03 AM)

You must be taling about yourself  Alumbrado. Im asking this question because of another post where most of the people did not want to be labled as a Switch. Weather it is a label or not you either are or arent a Switch.

laurell3 -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 6:24:24 AM)

What thread are you talking about?

LadyLynx -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 7:27:35 AM)

(IMHO.)it's because people are tired of the associations of the word switch.  and quite a few people have had the experience of, "I don't want to play with you because your a switch"

Dnomyar -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 8:18:00 AM)

Lady Lynx I have been thru that. Should that stop you and make you go into hideing.

Boondoggle -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 11:02:55 AM)

Don't you have something better to do than trying to provoke people?

Aneirin -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 11:56:02 AM)

Maybe it is that the label, 'switch' does'nt really fit some people's ideas, but with BDSM, if you are not a Dom or a sub then you must be switch, labels that probably in reality mean very little for all.Doms that bottom, subs that top, kind of switchy isn,t it....(on goes the tin hat!)

RCdc -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 11:59:54 AM)

And you see this only in the switch forum?
I see it all over, it's not a switch thang.

the.dark.

LadyLynx -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 1:32:55 PM)

I don't let it bother me. (usually.) I see it as just another preference or opinion.  just like I might prefer brunnette females and blond males.  There isn't alot that makes me want to hide, and that is such a small issue, why waste the energy?

MasterFireMaam -> RE: Switch (12/13/2007 4:18:31 PM)

Because it's often percieved that the label "switch" has negative connotations, mainly that switches arem't "serious" or "real". It gets old. There's two ways to change that 1) become proud to be a switch and show then that they're wrong or 2) do away with the label.

I offer the new label.   an "Eclectic" or "Eclecticist"  (see?  I can be helpful at times [;)])

Riiiiight...    First it was the whole forum, and now it is just one imaginary post full of 'so many here' all claiming that they don't want to be labelled switches, followed by you hurling insults and running away from the thread when asked to produce these claims.

No trolling there at all...[8|]

robertnewsub -> RE: Switch (12/16/2007 12:53:13 PM)

I think it is because we all have our preferred "style", and some of us have range, meaning we can also switch. In my case, I ended up being dominant because I could find no true Domme. I tried switching in the hopes of finding someone to domme me, and ended up liking both sides of the ropes. I still hunger for submission and enjoy domming, too. If I can find someone who also switches, then that will be a plus indeed.

beargonewild -> RE: Switch (12/16/2007 5:50:04 PM)

Frankly this person has no problem identifying as a switch. To be more specific, a submissive switch since I will dom someone on the rare occassion. I look at it this way: sometimes I'l top though prefer to bottom, mostly I am submissive yet have and do like to dom for a change of pace. In my books, that makes me a switch.
