I heard Larry Flynt on the radio today say that every poll that Hustler has done has shown that 80% of BDSM participants are conservative. Furthermore he said that in his experience, most liberals usually engaged in regular, normal sex. It is as you move further to the right where the kinkiness begans. Any thoughts on this?

I'm a sort of green anarchist - beyond liberal by several shades. I also know a large community of folks who share my views who are in the scene. I think it may be more accurate to say that folks in the scene are people of extremes, whatever direction they choose.

Don't rightly know what is right. I'm a libertarian. Or whoever or whatever happens to be best for the country at the time. Independant thinker, very much so.

Other than the fact that Republicans lie about being conservative in the sense of protecting individual freedom, yes.

It is hard, though not impossible, to be a Christian Conservative and into kinky stuff.[:)]

Hello,

I generally identify with the fringe elements on the extreme Left. I vote Green for the most part, although I will probably vote on the Anybody But Bush ticket this year and cast for Kerry so we can re-defeat Shrub. I generally support organizations which actively work to improve life for people, and generally dont support organizations that maintain political organizations and lobbyists in Washington. Congressmen are paid enough to buy their own lunch.

I want to caveat my comments about fringe elements with the statement that I generally oppose violence and extremism.

Just my opinion, could be wrong, but there ya go.

Well, I'm an economic conservative (for the most part) and socially a radical liberal. I vote either Green or Democrat, but ditto Sinergy.

Well, I find that people in the kink world are very considerate, for the most part. Keeping their word, having integrity, talking things out, open to new ideas, inclusive, creative. These qualities tend to go with thinkers -- the ones who want fairness for all (all means everyone and everyone includes our new immigrants, etc, even NeoCons) and examine possible outcomes before the outcomes arise. Thinkers are very concerned with the planet and regard their roles as stewards seriously. This is my definition of a considerate thinker.

Larry Flynt is not someone I would ask to interpret opinion polls. First of all, he hired the people to conduct and analyze the poll.

You have to look at the owner of the information and determine, whatever you wish to determine.

I am proudly a liberal, conserative, middle of the road Democrat who will vote for Kerry, and I send prayers to the spirits to bring Nader to his senses before the election.

Oh, who have I offended. I put in qualifiers.

Hi Morgan! Massachusett's loss is Maine's gain. BTW, anarchy is unworkable as we must have roads (even in Maine [:)]. Anyone name the party for limiting government? (No, Republicans, you can not limit government by snooping in my bedroom and giving mohair subsidies.[:)])

Oh, one convention that may prove useful is the capitalization of proper nouns. (At the risk of pissing off the anti-grammar rules crowd.)

For Example: Ralph Nader drove a green car to the debate of libertarian ideas for the presidency of a democratic republic. Mr. Nader was the Green party nominee. The Republican and Democratic Party candidates will speak. The Libertarian candidate will not get airtime again and continue the proud tradition of being right but no one knows it the Libertarians can trace back to 1976.
