I've seen a few posters mention how their sexual interest will wane greatly if they do not have some regular stimulation and satisfaction. I know I'm very much like this... I equate it with my body just giving up rather than dealing with the frustration. I'm curious to know if this is fairly common for women?

Use it or lose it is standard advice for anybody wanting to have a healthy sex life. Males kept in long term chastity frequently find that the plumbing no longer words after being released. Women stereotypically adopt cats!

I think it depends what kind of mood I'm in and what's been on my mind. Sometimes I'm getting myself off multiple times a day (with or without a partner) because I just feel like it and other times I'm either too busy and doing something else (like right now with finals, END PLEASE). But then I'll just feel like it again and I'm fine. I also don't think I've ever gone maybe a few days though.

Hmm, I had a submissive who trangressed greatly, and who I decided to punish once with no orgasms for a month (yes, I was cruel and evil). After a while, she did seem to lose interest... next time I decided to punish her with too many orgasms required of her, that worked out much better, she was sore, and I was happy :) So, anecdotally at least, yes, I think many women do lose interest when denied for a long while. I wish men worked the same, sometimes I wish I could just shut my libido off :)

I think it's common enough. With female sexuality being so complex (debatable how much is inherent vs social learning), it tends to be conditioned. The more you teach your body to respond sexually, the more it will. The more you teach it not to respond, the more it will not respond. Just like teaching your body to respond to anything over time. But we all also start off with different baselines and mind/body connections.

As for sex drive waning; nope, if you got it, it does not go away. If you have no partner, you can do a very good job with heavy artillery. And, as you get older, even women I know in their 50's (oh horrors!!) somehow you can still remain selective, hot, sexual, sensual and vital, even far beyond that. And as for adopting cats? Bah, humbug. The only pussy I am interested in taking care of is my own.

Once again, LA nails it. I totally agree. My libido is like Treasure's. If I go for long periods without, my sex drive will wane- during my marriage, for example. I once decided I would not instigate or beg for sex. After 8 months of nothing, I did give in, but it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be and after a while I didn't really miss it. Now, with Master, I have sex a few times a week (we don't live together- yet), so I want it ALL the time. He is very happy to have me in a constant state of longing. One interesting note: when He continuously stimulates me without allowing me to cum, after a while one of two things may happen. One is I will fall into sub-space because the sensation is too intense and the other is that my body turns completely off -I will feel nothing. Of course, when it turns off, that is when He tells me to cum. He likes to see me struggle to bring the arousal back. That sadist! [:D] So does this mean too much can turn the libido off, too?

I think many women are like sexual camels..we can store and do without for long periods of time..one wonders if this was genetically ingrained so that women could entice men and deny them until it was time to mate and procreate??..however in my own case if I am denied to long, desire retreats..its like the body says.." I refuse to wake up, only to be denied so..."yawn".......Tempting

Haha, I have cats, they don't seem to have slowed down my libido at all. I don't lose interest in sex from frustration, that's a constant. I do lose interest in sex with that person.

I would too, except I'm allergic to cats. I was denied sex for years while married. It didn't change my desire/frustration/need/desperation (lol) at all. Now I'm making up for lost time. Whew.

i struggle with libido. its difficult for me to self-lubricate a lot of the time because of illness. (anywhere with mucus membranes. eyes, nose, mouth, those tropical vacation areas south of the border, wink wink nudge nudge, all have dryness issues.) turned on? If ya don't use it, ya lose it. The more I get the more I want. Ifn I have to go for any length of time it's almost like a switch gets turned off and I don't even want it. I'm learning that that is pretty natural for a woman.
