It feels like there is an uncommon amount of sarcasm & general unkindess on the boards lately. It makes me wonder if the stress of the holidays or the gloom of winter has hit people?Or is the holiday spirit alive & well on the boards?

I think bears have it smart. sleep through the frekkin holidays. only good thing about holidays is the eggnog. and I mean the real stuff. with rum and brandy and whiskey and whatever else you care to toss in there. only thing that makes the holidays bearable......

I cant think of egg nog as a drink, its just like melted ice cream to me....so I freeze it.

And by the way Ghita, American tradition calls for bourbon to be for the nog, one would think it would be my beloved rum, but no, its bourbon all the way.

I put rum in if I'm adding alcohol, can't abide the taste of bourbon even in a bread pudding sauce! I've switched that out with flavored Schnapps type stuff... the butterscotch one is amazing in bread pudding sauce.Mmmmmm drooling.

Both schnapps and rum are my downfall, though if I must drink one or the other, I'll go for the schnapps every time.

I prefer the Tom & Jerry over eggnog anyday!  Both rum and brandy are used, rather liberally, too!  It's the kind of drink that warms your toes...

Cheers!

And...I voted for cookies, too!  When should I expect them?

rum is mine. I have this issue with dark liquer. dont ask me why. if its clear, i can drink it all day long (and do) without a problem. if someone hands me a drink with darker liquer in it, you know, the brown stuff....Ill get sick after two shots. Im weird. anyway, I love rum.

Now we all know why you are so happy all day and want to take your clothes off and see everyone's nekkid pics.  It is the liquor talking/typing.
