Nevermind all the shit about her being "potential" and this being a permanent mark that can't be removed. If you want to do it, then do it. I don't see how a welded collar would be any easier to hide than a tattoo, and the whole idea sounds hot to me.

But obviously, make sure you've got a stable, established relationship first. If you don't have that, then it don't matter what you do. The collar will be meaningless no matter how it's put on.

There are some very important differences. A welded collar can be a simple chain, and can easily be made appropriate for all situations.

While tattoos are becoming more acceptable, they are still not considered professional or appropriate in many situations. For example, were one applying fora job at a bank, I believe there would be som serious consideration given to hiring someone with a neck tattoo, but wearing a simple necklace would not get a second look.

I love tattoos. I want ot see them become accepted accross the board. However, this isn't the case now. Depending on the way in which this person is owned, tattooing a collar would seriously impeed the life of person owned.

Even if s/he didn't work outside of the house, tattoos can cause negative reactions while doing simple thigns. For example, my tattoos are on my ankles, and are fairly unobtrusive, but since getting them, I have noticed a difference in the way I am treated in stores and by service people. Imagine that maginfied a thousand fold.

At the moment, both of the tattoos I have are easily covered up (left shoulder and breast). I'm thinking of getting one on the back of my wrist and I know that in most places, I'd probably have to keep it covered with a bandage or something. Can't imagine the hassle that would be caused by one around the neck.

I think a permanent mark should be just that a permanent slave/sub/bottom.. what ever..only when your relationship is solid should any one consider that.[8|]
