I know many of you are adamant about being 'out' to your family, friends, coworkers about your BDSM proclivities, but I'm just not one of those "up front and in your face with BDSM" sort of people. On the contrary, I've lost jobs, friends, and the love and respect of various extended family members because of my BDSM activities over the decades. Having leared a few lessons the hard way, I now demand the utmost in discretion from my male submissive. I don't attend group activities, unless they are a comfortable distance from home, and even then rarely if ever divulge my true identity to any BDSM afficionados other than my submissive. "Behind closed doors", and I like it that way. Once in awhile, though, despite my/our best efforts, our BDSM fetishes just have a way of jumping out into the daylight all by themselves. Recently my 'manthing's new company cellphone went on the fritz. He travels a great deal and uses his company cell all day every day. He was effectively 'lost at sea' without any communication with his customers and managers back in the office, so I encouraged him to use 'our' mobile phone that he also carries with him until the situation could be rectified. You guessed it. I forgot to warn him to change his recorded greeting before he started punching in company numbers. Imagine their surprise when his business associates called and went to voicemail, only to hear this sweetly recorded message that is usually for MY ears only: "This is 'manthing'. How may I serve you, Ma'am?" The next morning, manthing began telling me of an associate who had called and later told him he thought he must have reached the wrong number....because he just knew that couldn't be the right voicemail! My poor manthing was worried that I'd be upset, because he knows how much I want that side of our relationship kept private, but the whole scenario struck me as hilarous, and I positively howled with laughter until I cried! manthing is such a brawny sumo wrestler kinda guy, the very thought of someone hearing that message still makes me laugh out loud! So, rather than discuss whether to be 'out' about WIITWD, I'd like to hear some other 'oh jeeze I can't believe they ____, ______, _______,(heard), (saw), (learned) THAT!' stories. Anyone else have a good 'I blew my cover when.....' story you'd care to tell? TexasMaam Happy Holidays!
