I know Halley started one too, but I responded to the original one.
Fact is this is an outrage. Perhaps Stella is a nasty stupid bitch, but there is nothing in that which would bar her from entering the US, ESPECIALLY THE US !
I have a solution, but they'll never do it. Simply remove the gender from passports and driver's licenses and give the person the ability to put Mr., Ms., or Mrs on it. Right in front of their name. Then those who don't wish to disclose would be fine, and everybody else would be fine.
When racial bias was an issue I proposed that job interviews be conducted via correespondence, culminating in the eventual meeting. No cheating. The best candidate gets the job, and you don't even know what their race is.
If you are a bigot, what are you going to do ? If a person corresponds with you, answers all your questions correctly and seems to be right for the job, are you going to send them packing without giving it a chance ? That is so stooooooooooooopid it makes my blood boil, and I AM A RACIST. The difference is that I am not a bigot.
You want to know what color matters in business, GREEN. Skin color means nothing, it is the color of money that means something in business.
People are afraid of those who are unlike them. I outlined this briefly in the other thread. It is the fear that begets the bigotry, it is a psychological fact.
Some people are wronged by the system due to this, some are not. Stella was subjected to treatment befitting a criminal, and that is not right. People, PEOPLE in Abu Graib have been subjected to darkness, cold, never ending light as well as a few other things authorized by the Bush administration. There is not a fucking thing we can do about it.
If indeed a passport seems in error, there are ways to handle it "Step with me to this little room". "OK are you anatomically a male or female ?" Things like that, they would be valid questions if there appeared to be discrepance on the passport information. This would be reasonable. It could have been handled in a reasaonable manner.
For example they make you state your anatomical gender, then get someone to inspect you. Just make sure you are what you say you are. That would be reasonable. But what they did was out of line.
But then on second thought, why do they have to know your gender at all ? It really is not of any import. Get your glasses because I am not stopping all that soon.
And be adult.
I know people who were heavily involved in smuggling drugs and other things into prisons. I will not give details of the entire process, but the baloons traveled through the entire digestive tract. The entire digestive tract, you know what that means. However if the baloons stayed intact all was well. That is how the family endured. For a hundred bucks they got the shit in and it was worth at least five times that. The kid lived like a King in there. And all his customers knew that the stuff came out of his asshole, there was no doubt.
Let's throw in an analogy here, and this is true. I wear a chastity device, I do it because I like the tease,,,,,,of everything. While dominant in nature, I do bottom. But fear is no longer in my mental vocabulary, at least when it comes to this.
I am not allowed to drive, but I will. And I did. On Labor day I got busted, and the first thing I told them was "I got some unpaid fines, so if you run my name you bust my game" and it worked. Twice ! Once it was narcs and I only got a ticket for an open container (of an alcoholic beverage) They released my car to my buddy who was with me who produced a seemingly valid license. It was not. These were narcs, they didn't want to "sit on a tow" or anything or the sort.
As they searched me the second time, they discovered my chastity device, actually the harness thereto. "What's this ?" the cop asked, well I said it and now it is time to do it.
I said to the cop "That is a harness for a chastity device known as the CB3000" and then some discussion ensued. He had felt the harness as he was frisking me. Looked him right in the eye.
He had already asked me before frisking if he was going to find any sharp things like knives etc., they always do, at that time I said no, I don't mess with hard stuff, but there is a joint in my cigarette pack.
Let me tell you something folks, I told them that, and they did not search my car. I could have had a few pounds and a couple of suitcase nukes in my trunk. They DID NOT SEARCH THE CAR, do you get it ?
I know guy who knows a guy, and he was taking about a hundred pounds of weed out of Texas and bringing it up to Ohio. He rented a car and the plan was that he traded trunk keys with someone else. It looked the same so if stopped he just says "I didn't use the trunk at all I just needed a car", and some cops would not insist. The plan was to give the cop the key, and once the cop saw the key and saw that it did not open the trunk, it's a moot point. The cop might as well figure the even if there is somethinhg in the trunk, if the suspect does not have access, a jury might acquit.
Oh no, there is no thought as to whether the person committed a crime or not, it is all the odds of getting a conviction. If it were based on whether a crime was committed we would have alot less people in prison.
Well in this particular case, it happened. The worst thing that could ever happen. The key worked. It was a million in one shot, and one that nobody would ever consider in their plan. This could have been a cake walk. "Sure officer, I didn't even use the trunk, all my stuff is here in the back seat". Then the key doesn't work. What do they do, fuck up their whole day getting Rotorooter out there or something ? Hell no they just let it slide, especially if the dude has a few changes of clothes right there in the back deat.
Well, when you are talking twenty pounds of weed, and the dude is down IN TEXAS, the big boys need to be called of course. Found one of the best lawyers in Texas and all day long he was saying "No fucking way", "This, do you have any idea what something like this costs ?" and the person who went to him said "Do you like to play golf ?". The lawyer sdaid "What you going to buy me some clubs or some shit ?". The dude (best I can describe that right now) said "No, I was thinking about a golf course".
The runner did about a year and a half, for well over twenty pounds of weed. That is phenomonal, usually it is more like fifteen. No matter what size the deal, it must be put in the proper perspective. If you invest one milion to make one point two million you are a loser. I don't mean this just in the underworld, it is true eveerywhere. It is not enough.
So back to the point, you can get your big head up your ass at any given time, tell them "I am a _________" whatever. you will still get special attention at the airport. Of that there is no doubt.
I want you to understand, when I hear shit like this IT HURTS ME. Knowing what this country and it' people could be versus what they are, IT HURTS ME. Do you understand that ? Idiots make me ashamed of my species, and then don't want to learn anything because they know it all. They really know it all if they have more money right ? WRONG.
The richer they are the more ignorant they are. You see with money, they can afford to be ignorant.
